great couple of days here and we plan to stay again when we are back in bangkok. Good location, with in walking distance of Khao San Road but quiet so you can actually sleep in the evenings. Breakfast was good and worth the money. They were also flexible, when we didn't want tea or coffee they swapped in another drink for us. The staff were really friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the area, suggesting nice restaurnts with in walking distance

+Nice place with accommodating staff. When we arrived in the middle of the night they opened up for us and we even got a breakfast in the morning even though we overslept the breakfast time. Walking distance to Khaosan etc. Free security lockers. -The internet was very slow and only working for aprox 10 sec at a time.

really liked our stay. the staff were so lovely. they remembered our names when we came down in the morning and really made an effort to make us feel welcome. the only downside which isnt even one is that as a guest house you dont really meet as many other travellers. that, and the internet was a tad slow. but im really scraping the bottom of the barrel here as overall i have a very pleasant recollection of our stay.

There was some serious 'thudding' (heavy foot pounding )coming from the floor above us at night(11pm) as well as morning (8am). It went on and off for almost 20 to 25 minutes each time.. I complained about it to the staff. We asked the staff to call a taxi for the bus station but they said they couldn't. Also the better the room the better the breakfast, which we thought was rather interesting.

decent staff, clean room (shared bathroom pretty standard), good wifi in common area but signal pretty nonexistent in rooms. about a ten minute walk from khao san road (several decent restaurants (some with a/c) along the walk there).

The hospitality of the staff particularly those in the reception area are commendable. Their ability to converse in English was a great help specially when we asked for travel tips & directions. The rooms are charming and fits our needs. Another plus factor is the proximity to the piers and Khao San Rd. Tour arrangements are even available at very reasonable rates. Choosing Sam Sen Sam Place as our base in BKK was definitely the right decision. The room rates are a steal. We'd stay there again.

Good place to stay, better to book a room with air conditioning. We didn't read well and we ended up in a small room with a fan and it was very hot! Shared bathrooms are very clean and the staff is nice, helpful and very friendly! Breakfast a bit poor, but definitively worth for the price. Location is perfect to be close to where everything happens yet not in the middle but in a quite area.

Lovely quiet place to stay, which is amazing considering the location. No social atmosphere, so good to get away from people.

Quiet, in a side street, calm and friendly atmosphere, staff is helpful - they even called at the bus station for us to check bus departure times. Very clean and the basic breakfast is good. We stayed at one of the rooms with shared bathroom - very clean too, with hot shower. An excellent place.

The guesthouse looked very attractive in general but our room was lacking any character with the window looking onto a wall 3 feet away. Hopefully the other rooms were better. It didn't match up to my expectations based on previous ratings but the staff were helpful and it was clean and quiet.

IT WAS A DELUXE ROOM FOR 900 Baht per night (450 B per person). (-) Our room was very small - just a bed and maybe 50 cm from each side. We had literally NO view from the window (the window was facing a wall that was 30 cm away). The A/C was no quieter than a tractor There was no Wi-Fi coverage in our room (it was room A5) The breakfast was bird's-size (well, better than nothing) (+) The staff was helpful and friendly The hostel was extra clean 24h reception is a good thing

I was very pleased with Sam Sen Sam, where I spent my first 2 nights ever in Asia! A convenient location (close to Khao San Road, tons of Wats, etc.) and great character and staff. Highly recommended

Were very difficult in changing dates. Internet did not work. Had to go through the kitchen to get to room. Advise given by reception staff was not right.

Amazing, helpful staff and nice clean rooms. Ok toilets and showers. It was a calm place to stay but the walls were thin so you could be disturbed by other guests if you are unlucky. Only 10 min walk to koh san road and a taxi to mbk shopping center cost around 70-80 baht. Stayed here 3 nights and would definitely go back.
