Can't say enough good things about Sam and his guest house. He treats you like family, and it's obvious he cares about the welfare of his guests. A friend and I stayed for two nights in order to see Angkor Wat. Sam arranged a driver to take us to all of the sites for a very reasonable cost. The room was clean and comfortable. We left a package there after leaving and Sam went out of his way to have it mailed to us. This is the ONLY place I would recommend staying when in Siem Reap

Excellent guesthouse with really friendly staff and owners. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the old market and pub street. Big rooms with AC and good shower. Big breakfast included. Overall: Great!

The hostel was amazing - friendly and accommodating. Sam So and his family were very welcoming and helpful in navigating Siem Reap. They setup tours, gave us restaurant recommendations, had a few drinks with us during the new year, and then arranged our van to Phnom Penh.

Excellent place to stay. Family run place. Clean. good wifi, good tour organiser, great free breakfast, 10 min walk to the markets, Sam and Mrs. Soveeathy are marvellous people, they will make you very welcome and look after you. Also say hello to their two georgeous children. There are two great cook your own type BBQ with a minutes walk. Its the best place we've stayed this trip.

Sam So was extremely accomodating, thoughtful and informative. We had a wonderful stay there. The rooms were quite sizeable, clean and air conditioned which was great! Initially the room was a bit musty smelling but once you opened the window and turned on the fan it cleared out. He has a hired Tuk Tuk driver that he can arrange for you, so don't arrange one on route from the airport. The Tuk Tuk driver is timely, informative and cheap!

I love this place - Sam So and the whole stuff are very friendly and helpful! The guesthouse is not in the center of the city but only 5 - 8 min walk to the Old Market. The room was large and was cleaned every day and they have bikes to rent and a cheap laundry service.

The staff were very friendly and always greeted me on first name terms, which was nice. I had a burst pipe in my bathroom, which by the end of my stay was gushing water. I told the staff about it several times but no one fixed it or even visited my room whilst I was there.

Mr and Mrs Sam So were the best!!! I cant think of a better hostel with all these facilities at that price! They go out of the way in making us comfortable, always there to help us.. Gave us excellent breakfast. They installed/strengthened wifi when we said we couldnt login from room.. After that Wifi was superb in the room.. We will definitely visit again! Thanks!

Good: The staff are incredibly friendly and keen to help. The driver was great too. Bad: I had a room downstairs, there was damp all up the wall and the window looked at a high fence - you couldn't see sky/daylight. The shower constantly dripped so the bathroom floor was always wet, and it was noisy. I moved upstairs but there was a cockroach there and the sink tap sprayed water everywhere! They're lovely people but need to give more attention to the rooms. I wouldn't stay again.

The place was great and the people running it were very very nice. You get breakfast, a smile every day and you even get a free pick-up service from the bus station, something I really appreciated after being on a bus for 7 hours being picked up even though the bus arrived late. I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel. It's a bit away from the main city centre, but just 10/15 minutes walking, or if you feel lazy, you always have the tuk tuks.

Sam So Guesthouse was such an amazing place to stay. Same So and his wife were so friendly and helpful, and thier children are so cute! We stayed there twice on our travels and they made everything very convenient for us. Sam So is such a hard working man not only for his family but his community. Being a teacher myself I loved to hear that he is teaching people in his community differnt languages so they can better themselves. We would definetly stay here again.

Mr. & Mrs. Sam So were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us plan our itinerary for the few days we were there, and even provided us with a personal driver. We loved our time in Siem Reap, and it definitely would not be the same had we not stayed at the Sam So Guesthouse. They even sent us warm and heartfelt goodbyes and thank yous when we left for the airport. I definitely recommend the Sam So Guesthouse to anyone traveling to Siem Reap.

I enjoyed my brief stay at Sam So guesthouse - the staff are exceptional and provided me with a driver for the duration of my exploration of the temple area. Located outside of the main Siem-Reap area, but within easy walking distance of the main town. The room was large and well equipped, although could have done with 'western' commodities like toilet paper (easily purchaseable nearby). My only irritation was locating used condom wrappers in the room behind the bed on the last night.

Service is great - very friendly owners. We originally had a room on ground floor. Not great, smelled of damp. Moved upstairs to top level, which was much better.
