Very nice hostel! They can book all of the adventure sports you want. Free fruit and coffee in the morning and well equipped kitchen. Even had a hot shower! Only issue was that it was very hot in my room despite it being cool in the rest of the building and outside.

Great location, nice place, good tours

Great location right on the square and you can arrange trips through the reception. We went rafting and canyoning which were both good value for money and a lot of fun.

Wicked hostel with everything you need. Staff are really good. Only bad thing is that the beds are super hard and not very comfortable

This hostel is by far the best option in San Gil , after stayed in a couple of hostels recomended by lonely planet, I found this hostel after some German guys told me and it really hit the jackpot, swimming pool, 2 very well equipment kitchens, maybe the best kitchen in Colombia, Sam is a local backpacker who knows all he tips of his birth town, tried the steak at his restaurant and it was delicious, tejo and Colombian bowling on tuesday night, paragliding at the chicamocha canyon is a must

Literally the best hostel we stayed in after two months of travel. gorgeous, common area and massive kitchen where I cooked a lot! We went with a room, with "shared bathroom" for juyst 70 000 pesos, and it turned out having an awesome balcony overlooking the square, and actually a half bathroom, just no shower, which was down the hall. great room! #8, ask for it, downstairs. lovely staff too.

The hostel is good. The choices in San Gil are pretty similar. Very nice kitchens. Cool chill out area, but people are only in town one or two days, so there doesn't seem to be too much atmosphere. WARNING: DO NOT BOOK BUS TICKETS through the hostel. I paid 70k for a ticket to Bogota. When I got to the bus station, they told me to wait. More than hour past departure time (I arrived 20 mins early), and the bus never came. No one else was waiting. alternate mini bus was not worth 70k. Thieves.

Really nice little hostel. You can book buses/activities through reception. The girl in the mornings was really nice/helpful. Air freshener in the loos for when you go in after someone who ate too many 'meat on sticks'. It's the things... Nice pool. Good wifi. No breakfast, but it's a nice change to go buy something from the store.

Awesome hostel, with all the amenities you could possibly dream of. Our private room even had an unexpected balcony which looked onto the square. Second time I had stayed there and definitely would again.

SAMs hostel is perfectly located facing the main square! It has decent facilities, 2 kitchens, pool, sauna (but we didn't get a chance to use it) and comfortable seating/chill out area. Wifi is really good! And you can book any of the tours through the hostel, they're really well informed and so helpful! Recommend this hostel

Great location in the main square of the city. Near markets, pubs, restaurants and 10 min walk from a huge super market. Very helpful staff booking activities and busses to other places. Cheap booze and water, and social activities/outings offered daily. Would highly recommend.

Nice hostel in great location on the main square. Very clean with good facilities and friendly people. The steakhouse in the sister hostel over the road is excellent!

Good location... But it's a rather small town anyway. Good choice of activities on offer and staff helpful.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in for meeting people, so it is perfect for solo travellers. I booked the rafting and caving tours through the hostel and they were two great activities. I stayed 5 nights, which seemed just perfect.
