We felt very welcome at the Samba Green Hostel. Staff members are really friendly and cooperative, the rooms are nice and clean. The whole atmosphere in the Hostel (also because of their "green thoughts") make the stay very pleseant. Free Caipi-Night and Lapa-Tour were amazing!

Well located hostel. It's within walking distance to Copacabana and Sugar loaf and there are many buses to everywhere. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The free Lapa tour every week is highly recommendable. It's all very new. Our room was small but nice with a good bed. There was an issue with the wifi, it just worked at the reception though there would be a router for reception in the rooms. And there was no hot water in the ladies shower during the days we were there.

Samba Green Hostel... I stayed there for 5 days, it was the most memorable 5 days of my life so far! The staff at Samba Green treat you so well you can't help but feel at home. From the first day I was greeted at the door with great energy! The service was completely professional! The breakfast was served every morning on time. The staff is always pleasant and willing to answer your questions. Your in walking distance to a mall, Copacabana beach, local restaurants, and so much more.

I loved my time in Samba Green. The staff were so friendly and helpful and put me at ease straight away on how safe the area was. Decio and Carlos (the owners) went out of their way to introduce me to Brasilian food, culture and the rest of the staff took me out one of the nights to lapa which was great fun. Its very clean and very close to Copacobana. I highly recommend staying here.

Hello! Thank you very much for your review. Although small, our kitchen has a brand new oven and in the outside area we do have a microwave, a toaster and a refrigerator. We just bought some new cooking utensils as well to make cooking easier for our guests. We really hope you can stay with us again in a near future, and have a better impression on our kitchen! Ty again! Have good trips! Samba Green Hostel

This is the friendliest, cleanest hostel I've stayed in! All the staff were so helpful and knowledgable, we really felt at home. Carlos was really welcoming and went the extra mile, especially with his amazing caipirinhas. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who was going to Rio, and will go back if I ever return. Great location for sugar loaf and the beaches.

Would recommend this hostel in Rio at all! The hostel owners, expecially Carlos is one of the nicest guys I met on my trip! From the beginning you feek like beeing part of the family :-) There are also a lot of tours they offer and the staff is very helpful to fulfill your needs. Should definately do the FREE LAPA TOUR on Friday Night and also the FREE CAIPI NIGHT is higly recommended! There are six showers available (3/3) and all facilities are cleaned every day. Breakfast fits your needs...

Was the cleaniest hostel I've ever seen. Also the staff were really friendly and helped us with everything. Would suggest to everyone to got there if you come to Rio. Also the Caipirinha-night was a lot of fun. Was really perfect to start our journey over there. Therefore I'll come back on my way back home and book right now again!!!

Hello! Thank you very much for your review! We already have a project to make the kitchen more spacious, interacting directly with the backyard space. Unfortunetly, it should still take a few months for us to do it - since we are a very new hostel, we are still making improvements little by little, and we want to be the best hostel in Rio! ;) Although small, our kitchen has a brand new stove and on the backyard area a microwave, a refrigerator and a toaster. I hope next time you are in RIo you can stay with us again. Maybe at that time our kitchen will be more spacious and you wil enjoy even more your stay with us! Thanks agains! Samba Green Hostel

Staff is vert friendly Location is good loads of food places 2 minutes away Amazing view of the sugar loaf Free wifi from the living room Fridge and kitchen so you can actually cook when the hotel isn't too busy Showers are not the best, getting fixed everyday Breakfast is very poor Cleanliness isn't the best good experience overall!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Samba Green hostel - the staff were really helpful and keen to get everyone involved in sampling the local nightlife. We stayed in a 10 bed dorm - although there isn't much room, the ceilings are really high so it feels bigger than it is. The bathrooms and showers were good, the breakfast was a lot less than other places in Brazil but as long as you know this and aren't expecting anything extravagant it doesn't matter. It felt very secure as well.

Great hostel! Staff is very helpful, computers for use, clean bathrooms, hot showers, close to the metro and bus lines. Carlos the owner even does a free caiparinhas night! Breakfast is very basic, but overall the hostel is great. I ended up staying here a week rather than moving to Ipanema. Would definitely recommend it.

Run by two Brazillians who were once backpackers themselves. Things I liked: 1. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke English 2. Spacious and clean showers with hooks and shelves 3. Extremely clean throughout 4. Rooms are "blackout" so you can sleep without sunlight waking you up 5. Excellent security lockers which are military-grade 6. Organises tours, transfers and laundry 7. The occasional free caipirinha 8. Great overall security (two locked entry gates) 9. Good WiFi

Thank you very much for your review. Just one small correction: We (two Brazilians that run the hostel), are still backpackers! :) Hope to see you again at Samba Green Hostel!
