Very nice place! Nice staff, good location, good breakfast and very clean room and bathroom!
Nice place to stay, good design, however needs a bit of a deep clean in the bathroom (hair in shower) and kitchen (fruit flies). Right in the centre of town its a short walk to most places from sights to restaurants, bars and the bus station.
I've only stayed for one night at Samba Rooms hostel. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the hostel facilities are nice, but the hostel itself lack some cleanliness. I stayed at the Shared Ladies Room and the bathroom was dirty, as well as the floor. It's well located and overall a good hostel.
A beautiful 1920’s villa in the middle of BH skyscrapers. Just minutes from Praca da Libertade and Savassi for going out. Very clean, nice atmosphere, beautiful building with original wooden floors, nice urban chic-left wing staff and helpful. One of which spent entire night with us to show us around bars. Also around the corner from direct bus to airport. Would definitely recommend.
When we arrived clerck didn't know about our room and he asigned an in suite four beds one. After he called the manager he learned there is an in suite twin room in the hostel, and he moved us to it. After that incident everything was ok, Breakfasts were simple.
Amazing staff (thank you sooo much guys, for this wonderful vibe), great BBQs, live music from time to time, beautiful, huge patrimonial house just 5 minutes away from the hearth of the city (Praça da Liberdade), good breakfast, fun evenings on the large balcony where it's so easy to meet the other guests and make friends.... In summary : all perfect! Thanks again, Daniel. Congratulations! (Well deserved, a few weeks away from the first anniversary of this perfect hostel!)
We didn't stay for very long as we arrived late and left next day, but the staff was very grumpy and didn't know about anything to do in the city, which is something expected from hostel staff absolutely anywhere.
