One of worst hostels we ever been in Canada. If you turn round in your bed everybody wake up because the beds are creak. The internet doesn't work almost of the time. And if you got it, it was so slow. For the next time we are looking for a better hostel to stay in Banff

This place is well equipped & clean. Full of people that want to get drunk and stay up all night, so be warned if you don't want to hang out with wasted kids then this is not the place for you.

Backpackers is located next to Samesun Chalets - you still get use of the cheap pub in the chalets. (Note the pub is quite new - didn't try the food but it seemed to go down well with others). Have to leave your key with reception in order to get a saucepan, this is kind of annoying if you come in in a rush and want to cook something but face a queue. Alcohol could only be consumed in dorm rooms and not public areas, such as the large courtyard they have by the rooms.

The kitchen needs fixing up a little. THere were a lot of flies down there its quite gross but this samesun has more atmosphere then the one down the rd.

Absolutely loved the samesun!! This made my trip to Canada! Met so many new friends and loved the activities to meet people while travelling solo. Go to the Beaver bar - awesome!! Thanks to all the staff at Samesun for a fab stay!

Somewhere to stay if you want to meet people and party, it's not quiet! I thought it had an excellent atmosphere and was friendly and an excellent Tuesday night open mic night in the bar. On the negative side though the internet is terrible - wifi is sporadic and the hostels own computers are pretty old and lose internet connection, something which the staff seemed indifferent to. The locks or keys also need replacing as it was very difficult to get into the rooms.

It's great to stay at a place where they have a mission statement and actually live and work by that same ethos; SameSun provide excellent accommodation while promoting .peace, where colour, race, religion and creed do not matter, and SameSun remained true in every way during my stay. The hostel had a great vibe, huge courtyard, super clean and spacious rooms, and amazing staff; they offer a pure sense of equality. Follow the sun, because we all live under the SameSun! Stay here with confidence
