Stop reading this review, and just book it! It books out fast, and for good reason! 1. Amazing location. CANNOT be beaten. 2. The Beaver Bar. It rocks. Good, cheap food. Always a special. Fantastic range of drinks! Good Vibe on Friday night, and according to other BP'ers, good vibes during the week, too! 3. Clean rooms, friendly staff (funny as well!), knowledgeable about Vancouver (they recommended a few bars, but we ended up coming back to the Beaver Bar anyway), late check-in. 10/10!

This was my first backpacker experience and I was a little nervous but the staff were amazing and so helpful. I met some lovely people which was great as I am travelling alone. Great central location on Granville and the hostel offers daily activities. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in vancouver. Thanks for making my stay a positive one

Nice hostel in downtown Vancouver. Free breakfast, WiFi. Nice staff. Cleaniness depends highly on other travellers. A little bit pricy but what's not. Would recommend.

The staff were super friendly, especially steph who did the tours. All of the people staying there are super social, giving it a very homely feel.

Really good hostel, I've stayed in a few in Vancouver and this is the best, and most social/fun.

Very friendly hostel in a convenient location

The location is right in the centre of action on Granvile street that becomes a pedestrian zone only on the weekends. As for the hotel the staff were very informative, and made the experience pleasant. The rooms were standard hostel fare but an added feature were fans installed by the head in case you got too hot, very handy in the summer. The breakfast in the morning was really good especially the fruit salad and the bar at night with really cheap drink prices. Overall good value for your money

Had an amazing stay! Delicious food and drinks at a great price right in the lobby bar The Beaver. Nice bunks with your own personal fan, clean bathrooms and lots of activities. Will definitely be back.

One of the better hostels I have stayed at in Nth America so far. What a hostel should be like.

Overall great hostel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were also very clean and I never had to wait for a shower. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, too. The bar wasn't too expensive and the drinks were good. The hostel is right in downtown, so nothing is too far away. And on a side note, the WiFi was stable and pretty fast, compared to the internet of other hostels I've stayed in.

Great location on Granville street in the heart of downtown, though there where a lot of homeless people in the area it wasn't a major turn off. Loads of bars, clubs and restaurants around as well. The hostel had good facilities and was generally quite clean. Downsides for me was that the form I was in was quite a long walk to the bathrooms and these bathrooms where closed for cleaning at the most ridiculous times of the day possible! Oh yeah and housekeeping lifted my towel as well.

Was a good hostel but I was staying in a private room which was opposite the ladies toilets. It has a swing door that bangs every time someone goes in, which is every 5 minutes so went to front desk to see if they could do something about it. Said they would but didn't

Really nice stay

A real backpackers hostel located in the street where it's happening weekend. The street even closes for cars during the party hours, classic:) Although, the dorm was small and the beds were not the most comfortable, I really loved the real backpackers communal atmosphere, the location and facilities. You can see travelers run the hostel.

had a nice stay at this hostel, in very good location and much to do around. The price is quite high though, again you are in the city.
