Their bathrooms aren't the cleanest - only 3 showers and 3 toilet stalls for females - but the dorms themselves are very clean, and the hostel atmosphere is very lively. The front desk staff is very helpful too. They're usually from various countries, so they're all very friendly and very understanding of your situation. Free breakfast is a bonus.

Good hostel. Close to transport and food. Nice common room and kitchen. Rooms were very hot and stuffy and while there is a fan it does nothing to cool you down if you are on a top bunk. Glad only stayed there one night

The breakfast is very good!!

It was very hot so the windows were open to the street--so it was very loud too! Didn't get much sleep. So I wouldn't recommend it during a heat wave unless you're a hardly sleeper. My room faced the street, so maybe it wasn't so bad elsewhere in the building.

The staff was helpful, the breakfast was good (baggels, bread, cream cheese, strawberry jam, fruit, coffee, milk, etc), the washrooms were clean and the common area was big and confortable. The only con is that there are no air conditioning inside the rooms and they get very hot (at least during summer), which makes it really difficult to get a good night's sleep.

This is a very VERY big hostel, which makes it kind of like a machine. Staff (besides the people at the lobby) didn't look very motivated to work there and while we where there some strange dude was walking around the hallways talking to himself an harrassing people. Staff didn't really seem to notice him and he ended up trashing someones room/walking around the hallway in the nude. Otherwise the breakfast was fine (though it ends a bit early) and the location is very good.

Hello. Yes, that guy. He was gone in the morning. Sometimes there's that guy. Nobody wants that. I'm glad everything else was good! Cheers Pete

Rooms were hot and stinky. Carpet was gross. Trash was overflowing in the women's restroom, and toilets wouldn't flush. Clearly, the hostel hasn't been taken care of. The folks at the front desk were lovely though.

Our rooms where unbelievably hot!! I did not enjoy my sleep. I was on the 3rd floor and on the top bunk bed. It would've been nice to know before hand that the hostel did not have AC on all floors. Other than that the people were great and very friendly.

Hello and thanks for the feedback. Vancouver has been warmer than usual this June, which has been nice for all the events happening such as the FIFA Women's World Cup. We do have fans in the rooms and personal fans attached to all the beds to help combat this, as well as AC in our common rooms. I'm glad you enjoyed our staff, they are pretty lovely. =P Cheers! Pete

Great location, staff, and atmosphere; however, it got super hot in the rooms. The building was like a green house and was hotter inside than the 30+ degree weather outside. There are fans in the rooms, but putting a couple AC units in the hallways would do wonders.

The best backpackers I have ever stayed at. I met so many lovely people and the staff are so lovely. If I ever return to Vancouver I'll be staying here again. Breakfast is fab! :)

Really your standard hostel with all the basics. Location was fantastic and there is a great bar/restaurant within the hostel called The Beaver which is set up for you to meet new people and try some great local beers! Would stay again.

Hostel had great breakfast and the private room was spacious with a mini fridge and desk. The staff were really friendly and the bar downstairs had a daily meal special. Only complaint is that the room was quite hot but the room had 3 fans which did help.

Amazing location. You can walk everywhere! It's totally a party hostel but the rooms are quiet for sleeping. It's a bit run down but everything works!

Great hostel to meet people! Loved the activities since that is a) a great way to explore the city and things around the city without being exploited and b) meet fellow backpackers! The breakfast muffins as well as the fruit salad were amazing as well :)
