My second stay in the Van Samesun, can't go past the cheap food and drinks every night and the brekky is worth getting up for. Great location in a great city

The hostel is an excellent location, not far from downtown Vancouver. Staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable and the Beaver Bar was a good place to grab a beer and a meal.

Amazing hostel, amazing staff. You can tell while staying there that the owner and staff have a lot of pride in the place. There are so many activities put on and things to do. Not to mention the free breakfast was the best I have EVER had at a hostel! Special thanks to the reception staff, you made the trip for my group!

After having visited brand new hostels all over europe, I felt the facilities were not amazing but still good. The staff are probably the most professional and friendly ones I've seen though. They provide a smooth check-in process.

Nice hostel!The rooms aren´t so much clean, actually, it depends of who you´ll will share the room. In the first room were 3 people including me and I din´t have so much luck. The roommates were noisy and unorganized. Location is good, if want to go for fun it´s the best place, few blocks to skytrain to go to any place in Vancouver. The atmosphere was very good, if you go to hostel activity you will have a good opportunity to meet people in the hostel. The breakfast is good considering the price

Glad we ended our trip at this hostel. Staff are all very friendly and nothing was too much hassle. It was also the little things that made our stay so enjoyable, like each shower cubicle having an area to leave towel and clothes and get changed, a hair dryer in the bathroom, and a wall-mounted shelf next to your bed (great esp. for top bunk). Loved the bar and food downstairs and location, too. Only complaint is very minor; toilet cubicle locks were a little temperamental.

It's a good warming hostel. It keeps that old and welcoming hostel athmosphere that the new and/or reformed ones seems to lack now...

Samesun is in a good vanouver location. This was the only really decent thing about the hostel. The beds in my four bed dorm had 2inch foam instead of a mattress, i assume all the beds are the same as i heard more than hand full of people moaning about the same problem. The staff were quite grumpy and the cleaners anniying. The bathrooms are also in need of a serious updating. I wouldnt stay here again unless i really had to. The common area was alright

The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was awesome and the hostel overall was top notch! I would definitely come back again!

I had an absolute blast, it was by far the coolest hostel I've ever stayed at. The rooms are in great condition, but even more importantly the hostel harbors s great atmosphere, with an awesome bar downstairs, the character and people can all meet and have a great time. I should also comment that the staff are great too, efficient, clean and constantly organizing new fun activities :) I highly recommend this hostel.

This place was a little more expensive than the other hostels in Vancouver, but from the descriptions it seemed to have better facilities. I can't compare it to the other places, but the advertisement was correct (good kitchen, location and good breakfast). The floor in my room was dirtier than any other hostel I stayed at.

Great place to stay!

Although a little expensive (though I guess not for Vancouver), had good facilities, comfy beds. Small lockers couldn't fit a a backpacking backpack. Friendly staff though and good included service. Yummy breakfast! Thank you!

Staff were great and very informative. Luggage storage was very convinient. Have already recommended it to friends and will be staying here again for sure. Thanks

Good hostel all in all but definantly a party hostel. Don't plan on sleeping much :)

Not the greatest but I'd stay again if I was in the area, just passed through from whistler.

Great stay, just like my previous visit. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous, and there are a variety of fun and interesting guests.
