Samesun Backpackers Banff Reviews

Noisy Hostel with good beds, but little room to leave your stuff around. No lockers provided, only a dressoir standing next to the bunkbeds, which gives quite a challenge climbing out of the upperbunk without hitting it. Free breakfast provided it just a pitcher of pancakebatter and some bread. Reception was very helpfull with answering any question. Bathrooms are spacious and hot water is good.

Had an awesome time at the Samesun in Banff. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Will stay at other Samesuns in the future. Ended up becoming mates with the people in my room and the hostel had a sick atmosphere :)

A warm and welcoming hostel in banff with a great amount of entertainment. Only draw back was we found the beds to be very noisy and seemed to wake up people by accident.

The Staff were knowledgeable, warm, and very laid back. Loved the bar nights and the food and drinks were incredibly cheap. You guys were one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at!

Found the hostel unkempt and the cleaning staff to be reluctant and surly. Our room was never vacuumed, perfunctorily cleaned, and the sink was stopped up. The front end staff, however, were terrific. No lockers and an always-cold lounge/kitchen, but a lively bar and great location. If looking for a party place, this is it. If looking for a quiet getaway, try something else.

Samesun is definitely a reasonable choice! The rooms are large, clean and have a washroom included in the room. The big plus of the hostel besides the big rooms is the bar. The bar is small but I felt like it might have the best atmosphere of the bars in Banff, so it makes for a good stay and a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers. Overall very recommended!

really enjoyed my stay here. the activities planned at the bar were great and allowed you to meet other people. Not sure there would be much to do during the day at the hostel, but the surrounding area has a variety of stuff, so you won't be bored Didn't notice any noise from the bar when i was in my room. I did drive, they have parking but very limited so had to park on the street . I have stayed in alot of hostel's and this one is definitely near the top of one's I would recommend.

The food was rad, the staff super friendly, place had a good vibe :)

Awesome Hostel. Clean, comfortable. Met lots of awesome people there. Bar is awesome hang out spot. Not noisy. Strongly recommend!! Banff is BEAUTIFULLLLL!!!!

The music from the bar can be loud. If you don't plan on going to bed early - you'll love it! Great location and fantastic price.

I really enjoyed my staying at Samesun. It's in a excellent location. The room was cosy and warm both in style and temperature. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's really good value for money too. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Need bigger lockers in the rooms. Otherwise, a great hostel and I will stay there again!

Best place to stay in Banff

I had a great time at Samesun. I've been to the Samesun in Vancouver and loved it and Banff didn't disappoint! The staff were really friendly and let me leave my bags in the hostel while I went on a hike during the day. Breakfast was good and well maintained. The room was comfortable and clean, having a sink and bathroom in the room is a nice touch you don't find in most hostels.

Located on the main street, friendly staff, continental breakfast in the morning.

Great atmosphere, wonderful staff. loved that there was a bar attached to the hostel as well. very welcoming and inviting. the bartenders were very attentive, especially the charismatic man with dreadlocks. music could be a little more fluid (ie more/longer playlist) and the beer fridges need to be at a colder temperature. very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back and recommend this place.

Hostel was really nice, really friendly. great bar offers, and good news for light sleepers the bar doesn't really have much noise pollution. My only grumble I could make is that one bathroom for a 12 person dorm really isn't enough and maybe another shower/toilet on the floor would have been good, but all in all great times :D

I really enjoyed my stay at Samesun, the staff were all very friendly and fun. The Beaver Bar had a great environment and the monthly activities were fun! The place was really clean, housekeeping are very lovely and very simpaticas!! Definitely recommended. Love forever The COPETINOS FRIENDS (BFF)

This is a great hostel, near the city centre. Big, clean and quiet rooms! The staff and other guests where very friendly. I enjoyed my stay here!
