Fantastic place to stay and the staff were amazing! They took us out to the bars and clubs and had a great time. Would recommend this to everyone as it is quiet and tranquil near the beach and offers great night life, best of both worlds with really friendly people, cant wait to go back again!

We booked one more night. The double bed is 2 single beds next to each other with a double bed liner on top, so it makes a whole in the center if you move to much. They dont limit toilet paper, but they seems to be rare. We asked the staff twice for new toilet paper. Great room overall, has a big flat screen, we didnt use it, but its there.

If you don't mind that you don't get any sleep because people party all night long and there is nobody to shut them up then good for you, also no card payment? WTF? Only cash

The doors were never locked. The air con was switched off during the hottest part of the day which was disgusting. It was located in the quiet side of the island. The staff were helpful.

As far as location is concerned, it's not the best takes about a 40 min walk to get to Fisherman's Village & 20 min to get to the Big Buddha. However, Samui Backpackers is a very nice hostel, comfortable, clean and had all right wifi. If you don't mind being more secluded, it's great (& it has a pool!).

There were no keys for the dorms, so the door was always left open.

Really lovely hostel, met some great people. Booked to stay here for full moon as it says it popular for this period and it really wasn't. Beds aren't very private but nice. Keeping the ac off during the day is so stupid and just made the rooms really hot! Not much security at all but felt safe. Not really much to do around the area so get a bike.

Perfect for socialising and chilling. Free pool table, pool and ping pong. It's the perfect place to make new friends. Although not in a popular area taxis are handy and there is a coffee shop right at the end which does amazing breakfasts.

Great pool! The location however is now the best. There is a beach at walking distance but that is pretty much it... they put urinal beans in showers and bathrooms...the smell is not great...
