This was a brilliant hostel to meet people in with a really well used communal area. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hostel to everybody.

Spent one night here before going to the airport. It was not very expensive and had an awesome night here. The hostel was clean and the location was nice and also met some great people. Would recommend staying here.

Place was so good we decided to extend our stay!!

This place is cheap, it's ok to stay here. But it looks like the staff doesn't care to do their duties properly. The staff didn't take out the garbage from the room's trash bin (I've spent 4 nights but they didn't clean it), the bathroom was regularly flooded, but it was taking long-long time to repair & clean it. Also, this hostel is the loudest one, it's bad that the staff didn't care about drunk & noizy visitors at 3-4 AM singing & speaking loudly just next to your door during 2 nishts.

The beds are so nice to sleep in and there is a common to get to know other people. But the walk to the beach was abit further than what we would have liked (15mins away). But they have been one of the cleanest and nicest hostels I have stayed at .

Good value hostel near beach and local restaurants, would stay here again.

Was a lovely cheap stay, was a little quiet when we went there but if there was more people the atmosphere would be great as there was a social room.

Cheap, nice, big, clean room with locking draw and a fridge. It is a long walk to the main bars/ restaurants, but that means not much noise at night. Good base location for exploring the island and doing day trips! They don't do trip bookings, try to avoid "smile tour samui" a few doors up as they miss sold us a tour and then lied about it. There is a nice women in "tickets and tours booking" just before the oneway system who is good and helpful.

Good location, value for money, staff don't know much English only down side. Overall great.

Paid to stay in fan room but was told we were in an air con room which i didn't mind. Then got woken by staff in the middle of the night who demanded more money because they'd made a mistake by putting us in that room! Then they spent the next 3 days scowling at us. The beds were comfy however and it's nice to have a personal reading light, also good location for Chaweng restaurants and bars

Lovely little place to stay, rooms were very clean, you had your own lamp, socket and shelving with each bed and a small locker to put valuables. Downstairs was a communal space where it was easy to meet others, however this only consisted of some tables. Wifi was ok but not very consistent. Hostel didnt have any computers you could use evebthough we were told there would be some

Fantastic staff! The guys who run it are so friendly and helpful with places to go and see around Thailand. Everyone who stayed was extremely friendly and it felt so much safer staying there than other places. Great find!

A very good hostel to meet new people. It is close to Koh Samuis awesome Nightlife, close to restaurants, the beach etc. Rooms are clean comfortable. However I have one minus. The staff is unfriendly and not very helpful. Their english is not very understanable. But all in all I had a very good time. I would come back and I can reccomend this hostel.

Can't understand all the good reviews . There was construction going on and the workers smoked throughout the building . Close to the beach but I wasn't given any detailed instruction on how to access it . Breakfast not included . Bathroom was dirty when I checked in .

Nice and clean rooms where also cleaned every day. Me n a friend where in a private double room had a fridge and the wifi was amazing. Even stayed an extra 5 nights. It isn't in the town centre but is only a short walk away.

The staff at Samui Hostel were very friendly and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and I would recommend it to travelers on a budget who enjoy a lively, but clean environment.

this is perfect for any backpackers, recently done up, the rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom could be a tiny bit cleaner but was no problem at all even for girly girls! Amazing location, 2 mins from the beach and a quick tuktuk anywhere else significant on the island. Would definately recommend. Don't be put off by the reception and dirty kitchen behind - rooms are great.

DO NOT GO HERE. The security is unexistant. Late at night while we all were sleeping, someone entered one of the rooms and stole a computer, mobile phones and their wallets. After this incident we were not at ease to leave our belongings alone. Regarding the room per se, it was ok, good matresses
