Very nice hostel.

This is a good hostel in a very cool area! The only thing bad was that I found the staff (particularly at reception) to be terrible. Rude and very unfriendly, not what is usually appreciated at a hostel! Other than that though it's great.

They offer rides from the airport or cover your cab fare. Good (free) breakfast, generally friendly but stoned ppl

Our stay at the Ocean Beach Hostel was just amazing! We had nice roommates, met so many nice people from all over the world and the staff was very nice too! The breakfasts, bonfires and diners and all things the hostel organize are so much fun! We really miss our time at the hostel and everybody from there! We would recommend this hostel and come back as soon as we can!

Great location, right on the beach and on the doorstep of the farmers market. Great staff and friendly people staying long term in the hostel. In the process of renovating...is going to look great. Only things I would say were that the showers could do with more cleaning and the kitchen needs updating, other than that great hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The Location is just perfect. Right in Ocean Beach, only a couple of minutes from the beach. The People there are great and the athmosphere is awesome. I would really recommend this hostel and hope I can come back one day.

It would be great if there were a couple of toilets that are separate from the showers, especially for the mornings.

Great atmosphere. Staff are super chill. Centre of ocean beach. Awesome.

It's good for what it is: a cheap place to crash in Ocean Beach, walking distance from the action. You might even meet some cool people. But the pluses pretty much end there. Everything else was sketchy. There were blonde hairs in my bed - I'm a brunette. The bathroom door in our private room didn't close properly -- very romantic to be able to smell your significant other going Number 2. Soap wasn't provided, so I had to wash my hands with my own shampoo the entire time.

Enjoyed my stay. Will definitely return.

We were in room 26 and there was a spotlight aimed all night into our window. The 2nd and 3rd nights we put towels over the window and slept better (needs solid curtains there and over the door, since there was a window/light there too). Plastic mattress/pillow covers very sweaty. Door lock came apart when key withdrawn.

In general I enjoyed my stay. There was a few other guests who had a bit of a problem with their attitude. This is in no way to be blamed on the hostel, which provided beyond my expectations. I was there to study at the unniversitty, so the atmosphere was perfect. If you are there to party, you might find it a bit to calm.

The toilet and washbasin in the room were too old, were blocked for the most part and certainly need replacing. They know this because there was a large plungers in the toilet. An overflowing toilet is not the nicest of things to have to live with.

It was great staying at this hostel The staff are nice and helpful, and it's cool to have a good and big free breakfast every day and dinner two times a week. A lot of good activities and free towels for use. Would definitely recommend staying here - plus Ocean Beach is a nice neighborhood

Very nice hostel. Friendly people, a majority of helpfull, warm and welcomming staff that makes you feel very welcome. Very good breakfast and a nice big kitchen area for cooking and eating. The rooms are clean and very well facilitated. I especially appreciated the ability to create my own little space in a shared room with the curtains around each bunk. There might be a little to many tv there, but would still definately return.
