A great place right on the beach. Pretty clean and this place really has an ambition to be a good hostel with a great vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed. 6 bed rooms can be a tight squeeze if you have a lot of luggage because of the daily clean requiring you to leave your bags atop beds but a really fun great place to hang. Inclusive breakfast and dinner is thoughtful. Who wants pancakes? I do. That's who.A great place right on the beach. I absolutly loved my stay at OBI; it\'s a great hostel. There\'s a great atmosphere there and everyone gets on brilliantly with one another. It\'s perfect for chilling out on the beach; with friends or just staying up late, I\'m happily recommending it to everyone, and planning to go back on my next US trip I absolutly loved my stay at OBI; it\'s a great hostel. Stayed here 3 nights plus 1 more! Breakfast all u can eat pancakes, scrambled egg, toast anbd porridge was amazing. Debra the legendary chef was real fun and v helpful. reception staff were not the sharpest tools in the box. in mornings can only deal with 1 thing at a time if that lol. free food nights are realy gd. gd value for money loadsa burgers!! Ocean beach is brill location near pier, beach, transport, & loads of bars & food places. all round great place. rooms are v clean and cheap. :)Stayed here 3 nights plus 1 more! Being locked out of my room for three hours a day during cleaning is not my idea of a home away from home, the quiet time hours means less socializing at the hostel and there is a limit on how much luggage you can take, which also has to be put up onto your bed during the day. It was clean but too cramped. There were 6 beds in a space that hardly fits 4. The bathroom was also very cramped and it was out of hot water for one day. It is located very close to the beach. Good for surfers. A little far from downtown and many tourist points, but it is easy to get there by bus or car.
