everyone was very friendly and treated us on a personal level, they made a good effort in cleaning every day and were accomodating when we needed to store luggage for half a day after checking out.

Great place. The perfect location for travelers without needing transportation also bike rentals for cheap around the corner on Niagara Ave. The hostel was safe, clean, and provided free breakfast every morning. This is the best undiscovered deal in San Diego.

I loved staying at this hostel. It is a 2 min walk to the beach and the people working/ staying at the hostel are awesome. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to get the most out of their money and have a great San Diego experience.

There should be hand soap in the restrooms. There is only recycling for glass; why? The disposable cups, plates, and utensils are ridiculous in that they are very wasteful. This was the only hostel I have been in (out of about 15) where I was not comfortable using the kitchen to cook in, although the free breakfast was very nice. There are no easily accessible electrical outlets in the rooms. The staff was very nice; thank you! You guys do a great job and are very welcoming. Great location.

I give them a 100% but should improve your internet conection other than that for what you pay is awesome, in the middle of one of the coolest beaches of san diego, one block away from the ocean, awesome and friendly team trying to make it better all the time and lots of pieps from the arround the world trying to have us much as fun as you. Being by the bars and nightclubs, means that you are walking distance and you don't have to take the bus or pay expensieve taxis.

This was a good solid, safe and clean space to stay. There were some members of the desk staff who were less then interested in helping with items or merely just surly. The Housekeeping staff was excellent, as was the staff that dealt with meals. PIllows need to be replaced for comfort.

Good hostel. The woman working in the reception was very nice and helpful. You got what yoou paid for when it comes to character and cleanliness. The locataion was good, very near to the beach but a little to far to the centre where everything happens, but there are easy accessable public transport!

It was a fun week :) the staff was amazingly funny and nice, we played beer pong together every night, there was free beer every night, sometimes we even went out with the staff and certainly we partied a lot together. The location is great, just walk to the beach in 5 minutes, bars and restaurants are close by and nice shops as well. Nothing to complain about at all! If you're traveling on your own and want to meet new people and don't mind partying every night: totally go for it!

The hostel is only 200~300 m to the beach. The fare for the transport to the hostel is covered, but you should pay transport to airport/train station. I have only one night at hostel in January, and the next morning I found that I got several bites on my body :( I don\'t know made by mosquitoes or bugs.

I had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and fun. There were people to chill with and people to party with. They let me borrow a surfboard for free and were happy to direct to anything I needed.

Pro: Nice and friendly staff, right by the beach. Contra: Scatchy people live in that area (homeless and hippies). Not good for partying. I also didnt meet so many cool people at the hostel.
