Owner Comment (Show)

San Fermin is in a very busy street of the old town. It is NOT quiet! The website is false. They don't offer TV in the rooms. It is more of a hotel than a hostel with no communal kitchen, fridge, kettle etc. So not a nice place to spend time at. We had a "twin" room which for some reason had a single and a double bunk bed crammed in effectively blocking all walkways!?? BTW they say they offer Yoga and Surfing on the website. Let me elaborate. They offer brochures at reception!? Woop di doo!

one of the bathroom's water wasn't working, so i had to use the shower head for everything, which was kind of a pain. Also, the bathroom tended to humidify the whole room and the room would become steam room while we were sleeping.

Absolutely no common area, which is not good because you can't check your emails anywhere but in the room so it will of course keep your roommates awake. There aren't any computers for those without laptops. The wifi worked okay on one side of the room, but on the other, it wouldn't connect. Also, the elevators weren't working and you have a 5 flights of stairs to walk up if on the 4th floor. The shower floods the whole bathroom if its used. The beds sink in because of the mattress.

I would stay at this hostel again, but we had problems. Showers flooded, we found lots of mysterious hairs in our sheets, and one night we came back to find all our belongings sitting outside our room because there was a mistake at reception and they needed to put someone else in our room. Thankfully, nothing was stolen, but it was not a good situation and I do not like how it was handled by the staff. There is free internet, but no lobby. Still, centrally located and not a bad deal.

The staff at the desk were extremely rude and had made two room mistakes. Which required us to move rooms twice in a one night stay. Besides the location, this place is not that great.

This place was ok.. The rooms were tiny and my pillow had blood on it. They were nice when i asked for a new one but it took an hour. Its in a great location but definently not worth the 20 euro i paid to stay there. Go here if you dont have other alternatives

The toilet in the bathroom ran unless you knew how to flush it just right (learned that from the people in the room not the staff) and the shower flooded every time it was used which made it smell odd. The lockers available are a joke if you have a backpack. you have to rent them but you can put valuable stuff in there at least. It was pretty clean even with the toilet problem and the beds were comfortable. The bar next door is probably the craziest in old town which doesn't help for sleeping

Good that it has been renovated 2010/2011. Wish the elevator worked for my 4th floor room though. And the lights in the dark stairway need motion detector adjustment. Probably only my room where the new sink faucet didnt work properly. '3-bedded' room was bunk bed with wider mattress below. No space for chair or desk. Luggage fit under the bed nicely. Great party zone location, just don't trip over the boys passed out on street, or step in the dirty. Window opened nicely, top and side.

The hostel is located right in the middle of the party city. Our room was about 13-14 square meters and there were 6 people inside, giving us the feeling to be in a submarine. There was no daylight, we couldnt open any window or the shutters. There were no proper lockers, there was no community room and no kitchen. We couldnt close the door of our bathroom, because the door wasn fitting. The bathroom was really dirty and hadnt been cleaned at all. The tap wasnt working at all. DONT GO THERE!!!

San Fermin staff were fun and helpful. The six bed dorm is a bit cramped with nearly no space for luggage/backpacks etc. If it is full it can be uncomfortable. The tap needed to be repaired as did the electronic keys that were not functioning properly during our stay.

A nice hostel, Very clean and helpful staff. The room was airconditioned and location very central, however no common area, kitchen or computers. Unfortunately our room never locked and often found and were woken by random people using the toilet in our room. Overall, a good place to stay

This is the worst hostal where I has been. The room was too small for 6 personnes. There was not even a place for leaving the luggage. Not closets, not tables, nothing. It was dirty, they didn't even change the blankets. The bathroom was flooded and dirty. There was also a We preferred not to take a shower. We stayed in Spain in excellent hotels and we paid half the price of this hostal. Good things: location and 2 of the members in reception, who were kind. However, we'll never come back...
