There was a really funny Chinese woman. She was great. Anyway, it was way better than the international hostel at Fisherman\'s Wharf. Those guys were extremely rude and abrasive. This was a nice change. The breakfast was also nice.

This is the best hostel in the US that I have ever been in. The manager is super friendly and helps you when ever you need it. So if you have ever wondered how houses look like from the inside when you go on city trips: This is what a San Francisco house looks like. NICE !!! There is a kitchen where one can prepare food. You can buy food at the Trader Joe`s which takes you 5 minutes of walking.

A hidden gem in San Francisco hostel choices, despite it's low price and low number of reviews, this place turned out amazing and is easily one of my most preferred hostels. Drew, the manager, was really awesome, the hostel itself was very homely, clean and welcoming, the beds were REAL nice, and it sits just outside a bus line that can take you straight into town. The only downside is the lack of a large fridge, and a very small kitchen, but whatever.

Really enjoyed my stay. The weekday manager Drew is really friendly and helpful, and I appreciated all his help and advice with transportation. Cooks a mean steak too. Good location - convenient access to downtown and attractions, but area is very safe too as it is mostly residential and small shops. I\'ve stayed in many hostels, so I was pleasantly surprised with how clean this hostel is! Had a very comfortable 3 nights\' stay.

I spent a week at SF Guest House and had a great time. Accommodation is good, as are facilities. It takes just ten minutes by bus downtown. I traveled alone and it was quite easy to get in contact with other visitors as the hostel is rather small. A big plus are the patio with casual barbecues and the overall familiar atmosphere. Manager Drew is doing a great job of making your visit the best. He knows a lot about SF and the Friday night clubbing was a big fun! I will definitely come back.

Nice staff, welcoming and helpful but the room and facilities are really basic. Renovation is needed on parts such as the kitchen and the bathrooms. Walls are really thin and you feel a bit sleeping besides your neighboor, we think we might be a bit old for this kind of place, perfect when you are in you 20\'s.

Ambient character, spotty information at best regarding car parking from staff.. Found secure parking easily at safe Japantown location nearby (1 mile). Located within one muni transfer of many wonderful San Francisco locations. EASY TO FIND. Staff was great, positive interaction with both Mrs. Kim and D. Wonderful backyard setting w/ plants. Bring a pair of sandals. Very affordable for two people. BR light out. D quickly addressed wifi issues. A+ Facilities. KR & KR 4/19-4/22

Nobody was there when I arrived. I had to leave my bags inside because a guest was kindly enough to open me the door and go to have lunch. The sheets and towels had suspicious spots. The bathroom didn't work sometimes. There was rat poison under my bed. The breakfast was very nice!

Didnt like this place at all yes it was clean but had an awful smell to it. Wasnt in the best location specially cause I didnt know how to get around but if you enjoyed getting lost of the bus then you would have been fine. Couldnt find the place to begin with as there is no sign out the front. No reception at all the owner is rude at times, she lives upstairs and you can hear her singing and running around very annoying. Had no respect for anyone trying to sleep either would come in late at nyt
