There\'s only 1 shower and 1 bathroom per floor! The bathroom with the toilet is RIDICULOUSLY SMALL.

We loved staying at this hostel! It was really cheap and in a great downtown/central location! The free pancakes were great for breakfast and the free beer pong of a night in the basement was really cool. Staff were really friendly and we really enjoyed the fun atmosphere.

The hostel is very laud, they have party every night. The Shower is a mess. The breakfast isn’t breakfast is just coffee, tea and self made pancake. It is better if they give the guest a real breakfast as the free beer. I asked them if I can leave my baggage overnight in the luggage room, because I have a trip to Sacramento, and I came back the next day. They told me no, and I have been in other hostel, that you can leave the baggage over night there. The street is very laud during the night, have a lot o

All of their money went into the lobby and public areas, which were clean and inviting. The rooms were a different story! We stayed in a 4bdrm ensuite, which DID NOT look like the pictures they have online. It was DISGUSTING. The bathroom was so nasty that we ended up using the public ones instead. The room was always freezing because the bathroom window was broken. Who knows the last time they washed the blankets, because mine looked like there was crusty jiz all over it! PRO: location!

Kamie although the hostel does it's best to clean the 3rd largest hoste in america clean, we can't be responsible for the cleanliness of your roomates as we did have complaints. I'm Glad you did find the public bathrooms clean as they are clean everyday. Cheers

I recommend San Francisco International Hostel to everyone who is looking for a good, cheap and fun place to stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I liked the common areas, kitchen and the party basement!!! The bathrooms + dorms are pretty clean compared to other hostels. Very good location (Shopping, coffee shops, grocery, bart station, bus stations, Chinatown + Union Sq in walking distance, etc.). THUMBS UP!

This place is perfect for young travelers. The oldest person I saw here was probably in their 30's. Everyone is really friendly and outgoing, and the guests are very open and willing to talk to other guests. The only problems I encountered were that the wi-fi was a bit slow (probably because so many people were online at the same time), and there are limited showers (the room for 8 guests only has one bathroom) - there are communal showers, but the communal bathroom doesn't have a sink :/

It was a good place but the only thing that was confusing was about the kitchen system. A staff was not sure about how it is working so he told us wrong thing, which lead us to make someone else upset. The room was spacious enough and there were free water, coffee, and tea, which is very nice for people who are saving money.

It's one of the best hostels I have been to after so many back pack travels. Staff is really very helpful. Be sure to get the discounted tickets and cheap bike rental there. And free beer after 9:30!! And the bar there~ All these make this hostel quite unique and outstanding. Not to mention the excellent location in downtown.

The lack of air flow in my room meant it smelt like the BO and shoes of the last 3 weeks of inhabitants. The sheets had been washed, but were still manky.

Right, this is a party hostel - you will have the time of your life there I promise you that. There is nothing wrong with anything about this hostel. The manager even showed me where was good to eat instead of just giving me directions. Best Hostel Ever! LET IT BE!

The location is great and so are the staff. The rooms are good but the bathrooms could be a little bit better cleaned. The kitchen is great and they serve breakfast every morning.

Cool staff, nice with the big kitchen where you can meet a lot of people, very clean and nice rooms. The street is a little bit sketchy with all the homeless people, but as long as you're careful you're fine.

I had an awesome stay at the San Francisco International Hostel. The staff is really friendly and helpful and all easygoing. The Hostel has a great location, all the important spots of frisco are really close. The atmosphere is really nice and it is easy to meet people. Additionally the free pool table, beerpong, free beer and pancakes enhance the great package!! P.S.: the toilet paper is not such cheap stuff compared to all the other hostels I've been so far! :D would like to go back!

You should do somethig about your cleanliness. Party and drinking is not everythink. The floor, the restrooms, the kitchen,.... dirty, dirty, dirty... The rooms - it depens in which one you are. We were in two diferent - one ok, one bad.

Awesome place if you want to drink, be social, and get to know everyone. Every night the owner gets everyone together at 930 where we proceed to go downstairs for a few free beers, beerpong, its own dancefloor, and a pool table as well. Had a blast here... dont forget to make drunken pancakes at 5am before bed!
