At first we were uneasy, because the building is old and the room for four people was small and had no bathroom, and I believe that we had booked a room with bathroom. Later we were satisfied, because the staff was very gentle, there was a nice party with free beer and the hostel was clean, after all. The overall impression at the end was good.

I've been to hostels much more clean, and with a better staff for much better price. First of all the bathroom in our room was dirty and the shower didn't work well, I spend like 45 minutes in the shower because water didn't come out ok. The staff isn't helpful, I really didn't like them at all. The club downstairs was good. But I definitely won't come back to this place.

The hostel was great! Really good location (5 min walk from Union Square), very friendly staff and great value for money! Every night there was free beer down stairs which really helped everyone get to know each other! Would highly recommend the place.

Many things were out of ordre.

you should provide a clean and clear to eat, its impossible to eat in that dirty and dark place. The kitchen was almost always dirty and smelling, and to wash my clothes I had to spend a long time waiting but it was just one washing mashine working.

The only problem is the heater in my room: it makes a lot of noise during the night, it needs sono maintenance

They are so friendly! I stayed there for 2 weeks because I was looking for an apartment. The staffs help me finding a place! This is a great place!

It's a nice hostel, very good location. I just spend on night with friend there. The problem is that it's in the city center, one hand, so easy to everything, cable car, shopping malls...On the other hand, it's a little bit noisy the night, and there are a huge amount of wired people who are High not very far from where the hostel stays..But the hostel is pretty secure, so if you don't talk with wired people there, nothing need to be worried. The staff are very nice, anyhow, i recommend.

What we liked: The location! Right in the center of the city. We liked that the rooms and bathrooms were clean. The lady who checked us out the next morning was super friendly and seemed to really enjoy her job. We liked the idea of the nightly parties they offer and that there was a board that displayed local events every day. Our sheets were clean and we felt very safe there.

The bathroom sink was always clogged because of a metal "filter" it had over the drain. There should be a proper space for hanging some clothes.

Rooms were rough, and that one weird closet toilet on the sixth has absolutely no room to use it, and the graffiti'd elevator made me worried that this was a rathole. But really it wasn't. Your common area is very, very nice, and the kitchen was pretty good, and the folks were great, and the location --- right next to the BART, near the trolley and a bus stop, and a major shopping center --- is pretty much perfect.

Very good for the price but it's not one of my best hostel, cleanliness could be better.

I was very happy with my stay at this hostel. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and met my expectations and the location was very good.

I had a great time there... and the free beer is excellent.. .. the place is great, the rooms are clean, people is really nice... I liked it... ;)
