About San Jorge Eco-lodge
San Jorge offers the best of both worlds because we are so close to the airport and have quick access to the City Center you can experience all Quito has to offer while escaping the hustle and bustle of staying Downtown.
San Jorge is a traditional 18th Century Spanish Hosteria, and has both private rooms with private bath or same gender dorm rooms with shared baths. There is a restaurant on the property which serves 3 delicious, traditional Ecuadorian meals a day (at an extra cost).
San Jorge is a peaceful oasis with a lot of wonderful amenities. We offer a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath (steam room), laundry service (for a small fee)
Situated among 200 acres of native flora and fauna in the Pichincha Foothills There are loads of hiking trails, some to nearby waterfalls and options for any type of outdoor adventure you could ask for i.e. birdwatching, mountain biking, horseback riding, guided hikes explaining the medicinal properties of native plants. We also offer tours to the Old Town of Quito and to neighboring cities like Otavalo.
Our friendly, knowledgeable, English speaking staff is willing to help you with anything you need.
In the evenings, you can sit by the fire in our cozy lounge and swap travel stories with the other guests, or play billiards, table football or board games.
San Jorge is more than your typical hostel and is not for party animals, but rather for those who want to experience authentic Ecuadorian Hospitality in a comfortable and relaxing Eco-Resort atmosphere. It is the perfect place to acclimatize to Ecuador, or experience the natural beauty of this country one last time before heading to the nearby airport.
