Excellent Hostal for the price, right in the middle of Madrid. Be advised there are hookers on the street maybe if you go with some ladtfriends or your parents would not be good.

A great little place to stay. Very clean! The owners are extremely friendly. Location is fantastic - a short walk to all major sites and the metro is only metres away for anything longer (which is not much!). It is in the red light district, which is fine - never harrassed or felt unsafe at anytime of day or night whether alone or with my friend. I would definitely stay here again if in Madrid

wonderful staff that was quite helpful. I would stay here again for the location and clean, quiet rooms.

It is a street with "women on the streets" but very good location besides that and very clean. I will recommend it.

A bargain room for the single traveller which I was very pleased about. The guy who runs the place was incredibly helpful, even though he only speaks Spanish he was patient with me and we managed to communicate. There are prostitutes in the street outside but the building has a concierge and is very secure. Soundproofing not top notch, however, in spite of the very central location, external noise isn't too much of a problem. A good choice for a short break in Madrid.

Very good location. 3min from la puerta del sol. Nice bedroom with ventilator, shower and washbasin. WC in the corridor. The staff cleaned the room every morning, like in a real hotel.

Good all round budget hostel. No complaints. Two pointers though - no air conditioning, so it can get very hot in summer. Second point, it's right beside the red light area and the local prostitues will think nothing of trying to physically grab men walking unaccompanied! That aside, a very good value hostel!
