Stari Grad is not very big so the hostel was perfectly located within a few minutes walk to anything and everything. The hostel was very clean and our room was comfortable, and there is a great rooftop terrace where you can relax with a drink. We didn't use many of the kitchen facilities but it seemed as though they had everything you would need if you wanted to cook. The only complaint we had (a small one) was that they allowed people to smoke in the dining / kitchen area.
We enjoyed very much our stay in San Nikola. It was sort as being at home. Karla, the manager, was super open and accomodating. The rooms are clean, so are the bathrooms; the kitchen has anything you may need; and it has a lovely terrace with a nice view of the town. The location is perfect, you can go walking from there to anywhere you want to go. The nearest beach is like 10 minutes walking from there. We didin't want to leave and if I ever come back to Stari Grad, Hvar, I know where I'll stay
We stayed in San Nikola and it was the best choice in Stari Grad. Karla and her family have made of their home a wonderful place to stay in the island. She was great and keeps up a good job with making the place perfect for you. The location is very central and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We highly recommend it! All the best and thank you Karla! Ale & Pedro from Bolivia

Very nice hostel, very well located in Stari Grad (which is a calmer place to stay than Hvar). Worth to mention: the address indicated on hostelworld is wrong. The street name is right, but the number is wrong. Just ask the right address in the tourist information centre, which is very close to the hostel.
The room was very clean, comfortable and nice and the location in Stari Grad was good. The roof terrace is awesome and has beautiful views over the city. There's no wifi. The shared bathroom didn't have a window, which was fine except for when it poured and i got soaked while peeing. The rooms are in a private home and it feels a bit intrusive to seek out the hosts in their part of the house to ask questions, so better for independent travelers.
