2D/2N KINABATANGAN SUKAU SAFARI
Day 1
Sandakan/GomantongCave / Sukau
At 0815hours, pick up from Sandakan Hotel to Gomantong Cave by road.
Explore the biggest bird's nest caves in Sabah, home to approximately 27species of bat, totalling around 2 million individuals. Walked the wooden walkway through the forest for about 10 minutes to the vast cave opening
in the limestone rockface. On the trail to the cave, sometimes you can
see wild orangutan Continue journey to Sukau by the Kinabatangan River and check-in to Sukau Lodge. Lunch in a restaurant with the river view and breeze that relaxes you.
At 1530hrs, river cruise to experience wildlife at Kinabatangan river with your knowledgeable guide making it interesting.
Curious Proboscis monkeys gather by the river bank, Pied Hornbills drifted overhead and swifts darted across the skies catching insects and a good chance to see number of bird's species and other wildlife until nightfall.
Dinner then proceed to slide show. Overnight at Sukau Lodge with spacious private twin room with attached bathroom. If weather permits, a night-walk to the jungle is a whole new experience.
Day 2
Ox Bow Lake / Nature Trail
Breakfast at 0630hrs. Proceed to Ox bow Lake by taking another boat trip, the lakes are abode of fresh water fish, otters and sometimes wild elephant may be sighted. Trek in the riverine rainforest and return to the lodge for lunch. To see and experience more of the wildlife, you can follow our nature trails. Dinner at the restaurant, meeting and sharing experience with other wildlife and nature lovers or just simply relax with you love ones, family or friends.
*Night cruise is optional and can be arrange at the lodge upon request.
Day 3
Sukau / Sandakan
After breakfast at 0630hrs and check out. Return to Sandakan & transfer to airport or Sandakan by 1000hrs

Latest Review
It's quite cheap, but very Spartan. First hostel I've ever stayed at that does not provide a sheet to sleep under. The rooms are quite cell-like. There is graffiti all over the walls of the public areas, most of which is from happy travellers (although it makes the place look more run down), but some is actually quite offensive. Still, if you're only staying a night in Sandakan, it's cheap and right next to some good local restaurants on the seafront.
