I was a huge fan of this hostel and I know other people staying there were as well. It has a great location in San Telmo. It is farther away from the subway and taxis are more necessary. The staff were amazing, some of the best I have encountered. They were very welcoming and acommodating. Our room tended to be a bit noisy (close to the common area) but that is to be expected sometimes.

this hostel had to have the friendliest staff i´ve ever come across. small, cosy, comfortable feel to the place, breakfast was really good, the free tango lessons were lotsa fun too. most of the guests are mainland europeans and the staff are happy to listen to bad spanish, so it´s a really good place to stay if you want to practice spanish. definitely recommended for the staff alone.

This hostel is wonderful. it is full of beautiful artistic personal touches, and is a lovely escape from the more commercial hostels in the centre. also, it has the best breakie in town!! lovely to find some originality in the city

Really great hostel. To be honest, it was a little lacking in cleanliness and location (it's about two blocks too far into a bit of a shady neighborhood), but the staff is AMAZING, and the facilities are all great. I'll definitely stay here again, and I'd recommend you do the same. Nos vemos! -Sam

It´s all good, I highly recomend. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable, showers are hot, very clean everywhere, friendly to smokers, coffee on tap, nice breakfast, reading light byeach bed - great!.Communal area has many Spanish and English language books and guides. Only neg comment would be that the lounge could do with some comfy chairs and sofas, and the bean bags re-filled. Over-all very good. I would definately stay there again.

We loved our stay at Sandanzas and will definitely return one day.The hostel has a very homely feel, staff are very helpful and breakfast was excellent! the security is very good too. it is situated in the funky area of san telmo and there was no street noise at nights.

A nice enough hostel, at the shabby end of San Telmo. Communual area is a bit rubbish (a couple of old beanbags is your choice for seating!). Their breakfast is good though.

I´m 29 and just started my three week vacation. The staff puts up with my communication problems and is just wonderful. The Tango lessons are funny for me as a male, but I had a lot of fun meeting and laughing with all types of peoples from around the world that had different age groups. Yes I would recommend this Hostel.   Read Owner Comments

Loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and as they made an effort to get to know you, this not only added to the general warm atmosphere of the place but the security also. Great location a stone throw from the main square in San Telmo. Rooms spacious and clean - rooms cleaned every day. Free tango lessons. Also free tea, coffee and sometimes cake!
