Fantastic place. Will stay again if in Berlin. (Was here from 11-17 June 2013; this was an extension of that stay)

This is the most unique, interesting, and enjoyable hostel I have ever stayed in. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Everything is handmade and adorable. I felt at home staying in this little paradise just 15 minutes away from the bustling city center. I will recommend it to all of my friends and definitely make it there again. I loved the chickens!

This hostel will definitely divide opinions. It is almost like visiting a contemporary art installation, with the exception that everything actually works. The place has _very_ clever renovation done in it and I can recommend this place if you crave for something unique. The place is a bit far away from everywhere, but fairly easy to find. Also there are decent places to eat, bars and grocery stores near the hostel. The owner is very polite and educated.

Absolutely love this place. The owner was really helpful. Chickens about. Close to the tram stop which runs 24 hours even though its a bit out of town. Loved the relaxed environment and would definitely come here again.

This place was so awesome! Super unique hostel with a great staff. Located a bit far from the center but defiantly worth staying a few tram stops away for such a rad experience! Would stay again and would recommend to anyone!

Staying at Sandino was one of the most surprisingly enjoyable parts of my stay in Berlin. When booking this hostel, I just wanted a cheap place to sleep for a few nights while I explored the city. I wasn't expecting much from 14 euros a night. However, the rooms were clean and neatly furnished. The staff was delightful, and the overall atmosphere was really enjoyable. On my last night, everyone gathered in the open air kitchen for a BBQ and to watch a soccer game.

Staff was very kind. And they helped a lot.

The place was great, although absolutely different. But if you're looking for different kinds of experiences for your trip, this is the place to stay. The chickens were great! Would be very nice if the bathroom doors could be locked and men's showers were a bit warmer (women's showers were fine).

it is a nice and cheap place, where we have enjoyed two nights. it can be arrived by tram M5. people in there are very nice. only one suggestion, it would be better if you can change your window curtains to lightproof ones. because it is impossible to have a good sleep in the sunshine morning in there.
