A quiet country hostel in a 200-year-old farm barn.
20 km from the county town of Cavan.
4 km from the small town of Ballyconnell.
A road-stop between Dublin and the Northwest,
or a touring base for the border country
We can show you where to go and what to see!
Lawns & gardens & plenty of play space.
Our twin rooms are large and parents may be accompanied by up to 3 children under 12 at no extra cost.
We occasionally close for private retreats, cub scout camps, etc. Interested groups can contact us.
No drinking parties, 21st etc.
PLEASE NOTE!
This is a traditional hostel, not a hotel.
Rooms are private but washrooms are shared.
We never book rooms we don't have.
Cash only, on arrival. No cards, sorry.
Although located off the main roads we are easy to find if you follow the simple directions on this site.

Latest Review
In the end we only stayed 1 night, not the three we had originally booked. Even so, we were made very welcome and even given the loan of an ordnance survey map to take with us when we left and help us plot our onward route. Cannot speak too highly of John, the warden.
