In the end we only stayed 1 night, not the three we had originally booked. Even so, we were made very welcome and even given the loan of an ordnance survey map to take with us when we left and help us plot our onward route. Cannot speak too highly of John, the warden.

definitely coming back the hostel building itself is beautiful and full of character, the fire was roaring for us when we arrived and the owner is lovely even brought us into town when we were going out for food & drinks!
