I really have NO idea why this is apparently the best hostel in Spain. It´s not a bad hostel but it´s definitely not literally THE best, there was no breakfast included and there was nothing particularly amazing about any part of the hostel other than its location. No bad experiences, just none worthy of all the hype either.

We stayed at Sant Jordi Alberg during 3 days for the New year's day 2013, and because this hostel seemed to be the best to make party. We weren't disapointed. First, the staff is friendly and will help you on all your problem. The hostel is clean and spacious, and will bring you all the comfort you need (internet, TV, box, ...). Then, if you really want to have fun and make party, just go to Sant Jordi!! The pubcrawls are awesome and you will meet a lot of nice and crazy people. Don't miss it!

Good place for parties. A bit of a walk from the center, but everything can be reached within 30 min of walking or so

I loved how they combine pub crawls and events with the other Sant Jordi hostels! It´s a great way to go out in a big group. Even for Christmas, all the other Sant Jordi hostels came over for dinner, so no traveler had to spend it alone. Plus there are nice lockers, clean bathrooms, laundry, kitchens, and common areas. I´ll definitely be back!

The location is prefect! This is the best part for the hostel. The staff are also friendly and helpful. However, the living conditions are very basic: we live in a room without any window, so the air was not fresh all the time. The hostel only offered one blanket for one person. It turned out to be very cold in the night.

Really great hostel. Good facilities, and more importantly, a great common area to meet people. The nightly pub crawl was also awesome.

The no free breaky or tea or coffee really hinders on the ability to easily meet new people. There is no push or advertisement for a free walking tour of the town, which is another great way to meet people. The Internet reception is terrible. There bathrooms really need to be mixed gender, its annoying that there are double female facilities than male. It has potential to be a good hostel, it just needs some tweaking.

I was just there at a time when there were a bunch of drunk 18 and 19 year olds. That was the only part I did not like. Alessandro Valente was very helpful. He took the time one day to meet up with me and show me the Gothic area of Barcelona. Very appreciative.
