About Santa Barbara Tourist Hostel
The Santa Barbara Tourist Hostel is a hostel located two blocks from the beach and half a block from State Street which is famous for nightlife, restaurants, amazing architecture and shopping.
There are activities to suit everyone's taste located nearby including:

- Surfing
- Whale Watching
- Biking
- Sun bathing on our glorious beaches
The hostel offers private rooms and dorms for the international backpacker.
Other amenities include laundry, pool table, big screen projector movie nights, vending machines, internet kiosks, wireless internet access and activities information for your visit to Santa Barbara. There are also bike and rollerblade rentals, maps, guides and tour suggestions.
The hostel is located directly opposite the train station and within walking distance from the bus station, with plenty of car and bike parking.
We welcome all guests looking for clean, secure accommodation in a fun atmosphere. Come and see the American Riviera for yourself!.
Dorm rooms are intended for international travelers with a valid non-US passport and a plane ticket leaving the USA. For American citizens a current student ID and another form of official ID is required. There are no requirements to stay in our private rooms.

Opening times:
8:15 am till 11:15pm. During the day the lobby is closed between 12:30pm and 3pm (rest of hostel remains accessible)
Our check in time for private rooms is after 3pm, for dorm beds after 12 noon.
Please note that there is a $20 key deposit for each key which is returned upon checkout. The key deposit must be paid in cash. Sorry, but the key deposit cannot be put on your credit card.
If cancellations/ changes are made up to 72 hours before your check-in date, you will not be charged.
Late cancellations or bookings that don't show will be charged a one night no-show/ late cxl/ late change fee.
