This was my first visit to a hostel. It was better than I expected, because I expected the worst for I read horrible review from former visitors in hos telworld website. So I was satisfied. But after I went to another hostel in SD and I realized that this hostel was below average. The bunkbed was so low that I could not sit up straight on the bed. It's right next to the amtrek&greyhound station, which means you don't have to walk a lot from stations but also means that it's very noisy.

In a place like Santa Barbara, the Hostel is as if in the days of old, when the economy was alot more reasonable and one could actually receive good quality for their dollars worth. I hope this Hostel perseveres and keeps its spirit of hospitality.
