I was at Santa Martha Hostel from Dec 3 to 6. We met Maria, the owner, at the second day. She works as a teacher and is not every time at the Hostel. We went diving so came back at 2 pm, shower was hot but there was no heater (installed). Just a few mobile gas heater and it was a bit difficult to get them work. With 15 degrees its a bit cold, but Maria did everything to make it comfortable for us. Breakfast was ok. We were alone, but we had a nice stay!!! :)
A good relaxed place to stay, but very few people around in November. The owner Maria is very helpful
Easy walk down to beach, good breakfast, very friendly staff, extremely clean and very friendly staff. I really liked this place, like everyone else who stays here.
Santa Martha is a very nice hostel. I`ve found it as a great value for money as I stayed in a single room for really cheap price. Also breakfast and towels are included. The owner, Maria is very frendly and helpful.
I really felt at home during my two-night stay at Santa Martha hostel. I met the owner only the evening before leaving, but she is very nice and hospitable. She Leaves hosts a message, should they arrive when she is not there, so no time wasted waiting to check in or out. Breakfast is included (yoghurt, toasts, various types of jam, butter, milk, etc.). The linen and the towel were clean, as were the room and the toilet. In a word: perfect!
I left the hostel after the first night, although I booked for three nights. After the first night I learned from an english girl, that stayed downstairs that this hostel is infested by bedbugs. I didn´t find any obvious signs in my room upstairs, so I left for sight seeing. When I came back at 8 pm, I mentioned to the owner that I had two strange bites and asked her, if this hostel has a problem. She got very angry at me and threw me out of the hostel, so I had to find a new guesthouse at 8 pm.

Great little hostel. Maria the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She was like a one woman tourist information centre! Lovely relaxed vibe about the place, clean rooms, good breakfast included, great little kitchen and communal areas. I would recommend this hostel and would definitely return.
Warm atmosphere, quiet, nice rooms, the Santa Martha was quite a surprise in our trip to Gozo. Ms Maria, the owner, was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We did not find the hostel very easily, it took us a while before spotting it, but it sure was worth it ! An ideal choice if you wish to spend a couple of days in Gozo for a quiet time: there is not much to do in Marsalforn, but Victoria is just a few bus stops away, just like the beautiful ir-Ramla beach.
