Was a great stay, so I decided to come back second time. Very friendly staff, they recommand a lot of things to do. Also organize trips to Lapa, Samba-Events in the streets. Finally great atmosphere!

I wasn't sure how to feel about this place. On one hand it was so welcoming, at times we felt like part of the family, got dragged along to random parties in the square nearby. It's a small place, if you didn't get along as well as the owners it could be pretty lonely. Other parts of our trip we hung out with acquaintances in Rio and the location was pretty good, it's about 10 minutes walk from the metro and 5 minutes from the best pizza place in the world.

Recommended through a friend of a friend - really glad we came. Welcoming and accommodating staff - nothing was too much hassle, one lady even hung out my friend's washing so that we could enjoy more of the day in the city. Thank you very much!

A great hostel run by a very kind couple. The rooftop is undoubtedly the nicest thing about this place, with a wonderful view of the city. The rooms aren't huge, but they have what you need. Location is tops, in a quiet and 'safe' neighbourhood close to Santa Teresa, Santos Dumont Airport and (only a short walk from) the Galeao bus stop.

Great homely hostel. Only minor negative is that there is only one shower for the 15 potential guests so be prepared to wait. Other than that, a fantastic place to stay.

Hello Buddy, Maybe it was misunderstood, but we have 3 bathrooms with shower, plus an extra toilet, for the 15 guests. One of the bathrooms is inside a room, an ensuite. Sorry if it bothers you, but thanks for the review. Cheers.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. On the roof they have a small pool, grill for barbecue, terrace and downstairs a room for breakfast which is decent, TV, PC couches, very nice. Atmosphere is great, or maybe we were lucky:). The only disadvantage is they don't have a POS to pay by card.

Excellent hostel for the general standard of accommodation in Brazil. Very clean and good common areas. Facilities somewhat lacking (in bathrooms, room size, etc), but that is due to the fact that is occupies a beautiful converted house in a traditional neighborhood that is full of charm anyway.

The view from the roof terrace was fabulous, and the staff were very helpful and courteous. I would stay there again.

Perfect hostel! Very good atmosphere, very clean and cosy, perfect location at the gates of the quiet santa teresa and a few steps from the lively Lapa. And the view from the rooftop is amazing! One of the best hostels i've ever stayed in!

There s a great vibe in this hostel. You re welcome from the first minute. They go out with at night to lapa, samba, santa teresa... Organise bbqs... Make traditional food... Threat you as your best friend! The bed and shower is really great. The breakfast is quiet sober. But overal great hostel! George, Nick and Stefanie are great people! Regards florence and stephanie

One of the most homely hostels I have stayed at so far, staff are all very caring and make you feel like you are with family. They take in about 15 people max. so it never gets too crowded, which helps keeping up the homely atmosphere. Also love the furniture of the place, it is full of antiques, and furnished like someone's home rather than a hostel, big compliment to Caro & Nick for that!

Probably one of the nicest hostels ever. Not only is it clean, intimate and cozy, the location is excellent. Rooftop with a fabulous view, a cat, and the best exercise ever (Santa Theresa) to keep you in shape ;-) What makes this hostel stand out, is the staff. Even when city government messed up and there was no water for a while, we were invited to take a shower at the grandmother and the niece of the owners!! We really, really enjoyed our stay here. We've made new friends. Thanks so much!

Nice, small hostel not far downhill from Santa Teresa. Quite new so all facilities are modern and good, with the roof terrace the star attraction- although this wasn´t used much during my stay, perhaps due to the fact that the WiFi signal didn´t reach. The staff are the best thing about of the hostel though; the owner Nicky and Jorge are both really friendly and organise activities every night.

Nice hostel, very familiar, where it is easy to learn to know people. Yorge and Taffa are also two wonderfull hosts, who try to make stay confortable. A++ way to go guys, especially because the hostel is only open since christmas last year. You can also drink good caiperinhas over there.

Very nice Staff! Excellent atmosphere. It´s a tiny hostel where everybody meets in the living room for some beers and going out in Lapa or Santa Tereza later! Recommend!

I went for 2 days and stayed 2 weeks, amazing hostel! The staff are amazing and make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. There's always something to do and good chill out areas if you'd prefer to relax. Very clean, and I have hign standards. The hill can be off-putting but the views from the roof terrace are worth it. Fully recommend staying here to anyone.

I planned to stay there just for 4 days but ended up extending my stay. this hostel is the best I have been to in all my travels. The staff is very nice and helpful and the overall atmosphere feels like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this hostel to whoever visits Rio.

It's just great - it's small enough for you to meet every other guest staying there, and both Jorge and Stephanie are really nice people! Yeah, it may be a bit far from the metro, but it's worthy nonetheless :)
