This is my best stay ever! Note that the hostel is not in the center. It's in Perissa, 30mins from Fira. But don't be bothered by the location. I was the only one in the hostel since it was "winter" and weekdays. There is kitchen in the bedroom and a refrigerator. Mike is really nice and he has a cute cat. The best part is it's only 3-5 minutes from the beach where there are nice restaurants. While Oia is the best place for sunset, Perissa is the best place for sunrise! Will definitely return!
I went to Santorini during the winter, which is the off season for tourism on the island. That being said, I had a lovely 3 nights at this place. Its minutes away from the beach and a bus stop. Mike, the hostel owner is a fantastic dude. He was able to drive me around to different sites in Perissa and recommend me great places to eat. The place was very quiet, but I really enjoyed the peacefulness. In summer I imagine this would be the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend it!
Mike was an amazing host! He was full of suggestions on what to see and do, drove us around as it was the holidays with limited bus services, and always up for a chat. The room itself was large and clean, featuring a kitchenette. Recommended!
Great hostel! Hot showers and fast internet!! Every room came with a kitchen and small fridge. The vibe there was very relax and Mike is possible the best owner because he truly cares about his guests. You can't go wrong staying here.
I went during an off season, so the swimming pool is not set up. BUT! the place is totally not crowded, there are only 2 of us staying in a 8 beded room, which is awesome. You can cook in the room too, for all budget travelers. And the staff is really friendly, so feel free to say hi and talk to him. He even offered me some wine when i got back at night. :) The location is really good too, 5 minutes from Perissa Beach and there are supermarket, 24hr bakery and bus stops, Ancient Thira nearby.
The dude who runs the hotel is awesome - gave me a lift a few times and was always willing to hang out and have a chat. The hotel is close to the beach and a 2 minute walk away from a super tasty 24 hr bakery and a small grocery - and there's a cheaper and better stocked Carrefour about 20 minutes away, walking towards Thira. The bathroom could do with a shower curtain - whenever anyone had a shower, the floor turned into a lake and every surface was wet. Would definitely stay here again!
I had a great stay here, comfortable dorm and not being in a bunk bed was nice. Great Wifi, excellent location near both beach and bus. Owner was helpful, friendly and good to talk to. Only negative was that by the end of october it's not very busy around Perissa or the hotel, that said it was a nice escape from the tourists of Santorini.
The staff here are so friendly and helpful. During my stay, all of the visitors and staff gathered one night for a BBQ! The atmosphere felt like home. Great location, just a few minutes from the beach. The main road is not more than 2 minutes walk to, where the bus stop is and a very affordable market and plenty of bars and restaurants. However, the hotel itself is nice and quiet. The pool is lovely too!
