Although I was expecting my 1 week trip would work out well wherever I ended up staying, I really had an exciting and amusing time at Sanus House. Sarita, the host, is such an amiable lady who always has a smile on her face, which helped me feel secured quickly to hang out in Nepal.

This is a very special place. Sarmita is so welcoming the minute you arrive at her house. She is very eager to help everyone. Here money is not the most important thing. I enjoyed the communal atmosphere and also the Nepali home-cooking which Sarmita treated her guests.with

The PERFECT place in KTM for everyone who is not really keen on spending too much time in Thamel. The lovely guesthouse runner , the great food and the welcoming atmosphere can't be beaten. We'll definitely come back.

Amazing! I feel like being home in this place! Sarita the owner is kind, warm, nice! I met so much people at dinner on the floor in the kitchen! And sometimes drank some wine or beer on the roof! My brother and me met a girl from israel who invited us to come to her house! Best choice in Kathmandu in a calmer part called patan!

Sanus House is brilliant! Don't judge a book by it's cover, and you will have the most amazing time! Sarita is the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful person I met in Nepal, and her cooking is AMAZING! The food alone makes your stay worthwhile! The bathroom facilities are basic but clean, the electricity situation is the usual for Kathmandu, but the hospitality is one of a kind. The place is a little bit out of the 'action' of KTM, however is well worth the effort. Definitely recommend!!!

Sanus House was a great place to end up after a long day of traveling. The four nights spend there were excellent and it is probably the best place we have stayed in Nepal. The always smiling miss Sarita was the best host imaginable, and we will definitely be back when we return to Kathmandu.

Even if it is a bit outside of Kathmandu, getting around is easy by bus, tuk tuk, or taxi. The guest house owner, Sarita will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable, and well fed, and will arrange transport for you if need be. Sarita her self is the highlight of the guest house, she is so wonderful and even more hospitable, she really does make the stay so pleasant for everyone of her guests.

It is a real Home Stay. You can feel the everyday living of common Nepali here. It is not a place where I feel “Like at first sight”. But with the hospitality of Ms. Sarita and her family, I became to like here. Also, Ms. Sarita is very helpful for everything. Thank you…

Staying at Sanu's has made my time in Kathmandu very special. Sareeta is a perfect host and a gold mind of information. It has been in perfect venue to use as a base in Nepal and I will continue to stay here in the future and recommend it to tourists and those conducting student sabbaticals or business.

All I can say is good this place embodies what Nepal and its people are about. The owner is just so so so lovely and helpful and it has a great vibe in the common rooms.
