It seems that everybody was working in this hostel... so you can be lost when you have to ask some information/help to the good person. Furthermore, we had a twin bed room just near the bar and the kitchen so it was very noisy for the price we paid. But the staff is very nice and the location is good: 5 min by foot from the Sanya Bay

Location is great for beach going and relaxing, short bus ride to larger restaurants downtown. The staff is wonderful helping friends of ours translate to the police and organizing groups to take us to great seafood/ play futbol. It is a hostel but it is cleanly, the facilities are nice too.

I had my best time in hostel. People are very friendly, and the hostel makes u feel like staying at home. The best part is 2mins walk to the beach. Walk with your new friend on the beach is a romantic thing to do.

Really disappointed. The hostel was overrated. We booked a 4 bed mixed dorm, and all of us regretted it at the very first day. The room was said equipped with toilet and shower, but it turned out to be not separated but shared. 8 people shared one shower, one washbasin and one toilet, all of them in one room. That means if someone is having a shower, no one can use the toilet or wash their hands. The staff was not that friendly, and definitely not efficient. It was a relief to move out.

My stay at Sanya Sunshine International Youth Hostel was amazing. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms . The location was ideal, 5 minute walk to the beach and around all the beautiful resorts. For being such a busy week (Chinese New Year) they still kept everything well organized and spent time to personally know everyones names. Thank you Sunshine!!!

The staff did not honour my credit card deposit and I did not end up with the room requested. \ I paid a lot of extra money to secure the requested room. After a lot of complaining they did come up with some comprimises, but they were not sufficient. The also refused to refund cash, after the mistake was acknowledged. This is disapointing after several e-mail confirmations indicated the credit card deposit was acceptable.

i only stayed one night because i wanted to be close to the airport since my plane the next day left early and I arrived pretty late. Therefore, I did not get to see much, but they have nice lobby which I deem to be a nice place to hang around and the stuff was sincere and helpful. As a location spot it´s godd when you want to be close to a quiet shoreline and to the airport, if you like to be close to the city and nightlife the spot may not be the right one.

Stayed there for 7 days. Met a lot interesting people, made a few very good friends, played pool with the staff every night, who are very friendly and helpful and most importantly, fun to be with. Loved the food and drinks there. The bar tender/owner is very professional. This hostel is very close to the beach of Sanya Bay, prob one minute of walking. The beach was quite nice as it was newly developed so there weren't a lot of people. Would def go back there if possible.

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms. There's only one shower per room and a second one for the whole floor, but that never was a problem! Fruits stalls and barbecue (in the evening) next door, little populated beach about 1 min walk. Takes about 20 min to the city though, but the hostel itself is such a great place to stay that you hardly need to leave. Sanya itself doesn't have that much to offer, anyway. The food in the hostel is a little expensive.

The hostel was excellent and the staff extremely helpful and fun. I stayed for Christmas and they threw a Christmas celebration I won't soon forget. If you visit, be sure to join in the games -- king, 007 --and make new friends! The location is close to bus stops that will get you to any of the three main beaches and downtown area quickly and conveniently.
