This hostel was probably the cleanest and most comfortable hostel I have EVER stayed at. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay. Closely located to the BTS (Sky-train), which makes it very easy to travel around Bangkok. Only negative would be the atmosphere but honestly, who cares??? Go see things!

I had a very pleasant stay. I was positivly surprised, how neat and clean it was. The stuff was very helpfull and the restaurant not to bad either. The only negativ thing was the light in the dorm. It was very dark.

The staff is allright and can answer any question about transport, dining out, markets and so on but would be great if they were a bit more friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they checked us in quickly but we realized after opening the door, that they had given us a wrong room (bed was not made, and it was a double - we asked for 2 singles). But they rectified it quickly and gave us another room. On our last night there, the AC had some problems - went down to the front desk at 2am and they sent a maintenance person up within 5 minutes who fixed it right away!

Saphaipae is a nice and clean place to stay, with good security, however for the amount of staff they have, they surprisingly provide next to nothing in terms of services. They didn't have public transport maps. They have one woman whose job it seems to be to book onward tickets but when I asked about train tickets to Chiang Mai she said she couldn't do that today because it was too far. I've been to hostels with one or two staff that are able to provide more information and services than this

We are sorry to hear that you have a bad time at Saphaipae Hostel. The lady you mentioned is not one of our our staffs. She is tour agent who book a tour program for her agency which is not associated with Saphaipae Hostel's management. We do apologize for the service and will improve the service.

I had to cancel my 3 days booking at the hostel the night before. However, they still charged me for 3 nights and never replied to my emails!

Had a great stay. No complaints. Location was a bit far from a lot of the attractions and bars and whatnot. But not that big of deal.

The best hostel I've stayed in SE Asia. A little more pricey than alternatives, but I believe you get what you pay for. Would definitely stay here again.

If you need to use power socket to charge a mobile phone in the night you should insert keycard, but it switches on very powerful and noisy aircon, which can't be adjusted or even switched off. Showers are not so clean but acceptable. No free coffee/tea. But very polite and attentive staff, beautiful design of common places, lots of stuff. Good choice to stay.

Hostel was good and in an ideal location for purpose however cant understand why the cleaners only make the beds of those that have left in preparation for new arrivals even though those staying longer have paid the same amount but for more days!!
