Owner not very helpful with suggestions. Very over priced for what this hostel was, the location and atmosphere. Given this was the only hostel in the area we felt they took advantage of this with price. Clean space, private room came with sheets etc which was nice.

The host is extremely warm and welcoming. The location is good. Got supermarket nearby. Electric stove was very helpful when I was there to boil some water. Noise isolation was not perfect though, since sometimes can hear the sound from other rooms.

The Savannah Pensione was perfect. We loved our quaint room with tall windows and a balcony. The bed was comfortable too. The home was historic and in a beautiful neighborhood. It was also in walking distance to the main park and the downtown river area. Brian, the owner, was very friendly and helpful as well.

There was no cooking allowed in the kitchen. You couldn't get in the hostel between 12 and 5pm. The kitchen was pretty dirty and we had to wait for 1 hour for the owner to arrive so we could check in. We liked that a big supermarket (Kroger) is close by.

The Savannah Pensione was a lovely place to stay. We ended up in the Carriage House so it was private and very spacious. We had a kitchen, living area and back yard! However, I don't know what the main building facilities are like. At least our facilities were just wonderful. And though it's not in the center of the Old City, it is right on the edge and was only a 15 minute walk to the river. And a gorgeous walk at that! The only issue I had was the price, a bit expensive.
