There was no cooking allowed in the kitchen. You couldn't get in the hostel between 12 and 5pm. The kitchen was pretty dirty and we had to wait for 1 hour for the owner to arrive so we could check in. We liked that a big supermarket (Kroger) is close by.

The Savannah Pensione was a lovely place to stay. We ended up in the Carriage House so it was private and very spacious. We had a kitchen, living area and back yard! However, I don't know what the main building facilities are like. At least our facilities were just wonderful. And though it's not in the center of the Old City, it is right on the edge and was only a 15 minute walk to the river. And a gorgeous walk at that! The only issue I had was the price, a bit expensive.

We stayed one night there.we arrived at 1pm and there was nobody, because the Check in is only between 8-10 and after 5pm.so we had to keep our big luggage with us.the owner was not helpfull and the room was a bit dirty.in the kitchen, only one little knive. when we left,it was 11.15(Check out at 11,the owner came to say it again at 10.55)and he was very stressfull and we had not the Time to take our Stuff because of that!(he stays at home!)he doesnt care about his guests.expensive for what it is!

Brian made the stay all the more enjoyable! Very helpful advice on places to eat and attractions etc. Very easy to access main tourist attractions on foot or by public transport. Overall a great stay, would definitely go back! Thanks Brian!

We really were not sure what to expect as this was our first American Hoste. Brian was a great host and made sure we had all the details. We stayed in the Carriage House which was a bit more private. It's located just far enough from the action to be quite at night but close snot to walk. Ther is a Park and a Market within a block and the downtown area is only about a 10min walk.

We hope the owner takes the following complaints as constructive criticism.1)BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS.The sheet provided was a thin sleeping-bag style which one was meant to slip inside.2)POOR ORGANIZATION.We wanted a 2nd room 4 the last night but the owner didn’t seem to know if there was a room was available.3)DON’T EXPECT SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY!After we had left theHostel a storm hit and my girlfr got very wet. She tried2get back into theHostel to change her clothes, but owner wouldn’t let her in.

One of the dirtiest hotels I have stayed in. staff was nice but disorganized and the location was great but the overall experience was not good. We limited our time there just to sleeping and we would not recommend it to others. lots of mold in the room and bath

You get what you pay for. I've stayed at many hostels in Europe, and the US is just not at all up to their level. The beds are decent but the place felt musky. I wouldn't go back.
