On arrival both receptionists were unhappy to lift their heads from cell phones. The bathroom door didnt close & no towels in room We requested that bathroom door be repaired while we go out. Later we been told that the door is fixed but it was not. Told them that the door isnt fixed & guys at reception - still busy with their cell phones - said that the “engineer” was not available. I asked for a piece of wire - used it mymyself to make as hook door to keep the stink out. Pathetic aircon.

stayed at this hotel twice as it was the cheapest we could find around khao san area. Rooms are basic, staff ok. It looks absolutely nothing like the pictures - it is one of the most basic places we stayed in asia.

We booked mixed dorm 4 beds, but when arrived in Sawasdee Welcome Inn, they said the room is dorm 6 beds. Then they asked if we want to change room to private 3 bed with AC (but shared bathroom), but add 250 Baht / night. Since Bangkok is very hot, we took that offer. Our taxi can't understand the hotel location even after i showed him the map in the hotel website. We ended up using google maps to give direction to him. There are about 3 7eleven there, so no need to worry about snack, or food.

Fantastic location, staff were friendly and it was good value for money. Not the best hostel I've stayed in, rooms are pretty small and dark, but you are in the middle of Bangkok so get out and about! I would recommend getting an air con room, it gets pretty hot.

Good value for money and close to khoa San road. What you would expect for the price.

Rooms look like they haven't been painted since I visited 4-5 years ago! There was blood on the floor and the sheets were dirty. I left and sacrifficed the waste of money that I paid!

Very good localization, average price. Nice and more or less clean rooms. But... pay for the internet access 10RM for every 24hrs?! WTF?!

the phone number they listed didnt work so my taxi driver couldnt find it. when i told them about that they just shrugged. after asking to switch to the empty lower bunk bed they said no because someone els might want to stay there. but me, a paying customer who is already present cannot. I told them i was taking the bed anyway and they threatened if they caught me sleeping in the lower bunk theyd charge me for 2 beds! never had staff treat me this way before

They need to up date pictures and comments on the place they must be out of date by years because the room I was given did not come any were near like the one on your site, if I had not had to change my time in Bangkok becouse of a deith of a close friend who I need to go to Karat to see her Mother and Farther with cost me 28 USD + a 6 USD new booking fee I would not have stayed. The room look like it had not been cleaned there were no talls and I did not see a cleaner once.

i stay at the mixed dorm for a few day, its clean, it got 4 fans in the room so it not too hot inside the dorm. but the wifi cant be access in dorm, i need to stay at the lobby for internet, but its free. the inn is located just few step to the street full of pub, you can easily have fun at the night, also close to the grand palace and pier, it's very good for your visit in bangkok. a mirror thing, there are always few cats walk away in the lobby, they are so lovely.

I stayed at Double room alone. Passage is very narrow. Very narrow toilet.

It was ok, for the price you pay it is what you expect. In the 6 bed dorm it can get very hot and is very hard to sleep when it is bright outside. the location is great though. tbh its good value if your not staying in a dorm, i got a private room, on my last 2 nights as it wasn't much more and i could actually get a nights sleep. but all in all its good value for money

I was bracing myself for something awful based on all the reviews I read. Needed a cheap place to stay in a good location. So going in to it like that made it not so bad. It wasn't as terrible as I expected, so I guess that's good right? Just don't have high expectations for this place and you'll be fine :)

The room had no sheets, a hole in the wall, empty bottles and toilet paper on the ground. Asked for the room to be cleaned, told they would have it clean in 5, after 30 mins and no progreess I asked for refund. Was told couldn't get money back, and at my breaking point teared up a little. Staff called me a baby and openly mocked me. I have seen other rooms here which were small but clean, have stayed at many hostels, but this was the worst. If you value cleanliness and service steer clear.

Single room very shoeboxlike, the smallest room ever! Floor very dirty, windows didnt close properly which made me feel unsafe..however, bedlinen and towel were clean with NO holes in them.as the windiws couldnt be closed properly, the effect of aircon disapperared the minute you closed it.
