Sayta is more lika a homestay than like a hostel. John and his mom are so helpful in any case. another primo is also in charge but he has to learn... if the place is full with 13 pax, the 2 showers are a not enough, wait in for the morning shower a bit. Its on top corner of cndelerie, perfect location, lots of restaurants around. trust locals, aera is not save at night, . sayta hostel locks the door all day long and does not open to everyone, they call save taxis and note their number! great!

Overall an outstanding 8 days at Sayto. John and his Mum have created a special place to relax, meet and befriend other guests. You really do feel you are part of the family the minute you walk in the door. It has a quirky layout that adds to its charm with rooms that are basic but colourful and very clean. The kitchen while well equipped could do with the addition of clean tea-towels and dish cloths but other than that - just about the perfect place to stay in Bogota.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Small hostel with quiet atmosphere but very easy to meet other guests. Free coffee all day. Good location in La Candleria. Price was good. Recommend. Slight negatives only 2 showers (but only 12 guests max) and 1 basin. Good choice who don't want a party hostel
