Nice rooms and friendly staff. there are no lockers in the rooms though so you do need to be careful. also this hostel doesn't have a common area, it is above a restaurant but you aren't going to meet people here. it was a nice quiet stay but definitely not a party place.
Our four-bed dorm was very spacious. The hostel is situated in the best neighborhood close to literally everything, the train/tram/undergrond station, the harbor, bars, restaurants, Reeperbahn, etc.
. Unfortunately there didn't appear to be enough plug sockets for us all to charge one thing at a time (four). - shared a four bed room: very basic but spacious and clean. - ensuite shower and sink were decent. - not enough plugs for us all to charge one thing each (four). - not the nicest area/doesn't look great when you come in, but expected for the cheaper price! (Nice cheap food places nearby though) - no shared common room/kitchen! Hence the lack of atmosphere. - no safe deposits
Would be great if the reception could have a longer open hours.

NOT A HOSTEL - a budget hotel.. No common room whatsoever - the cafe is a separate business next door. Although the lady at reception was super helpful in recommending good bars and venues, absolutely zero atmosphere here. Breakfast in separate cafe expensive even for Hamburg. Facilities were clean and security was very good. Definitely a no no for solo travellers who want to socialise.
Perfect all around except for two major offences: 1) No lockers, or anywhere safe to put your valuables, anywhere. You have to either keep your stuff with you or out it under the bed and hope no one steals it. 2) €8 for breakfast (which is usually free, or else a few euros) is a joke.
