An amazing place. Quiet relaxing and very helpful in every aspect. 2 blocks from bus station so an easy walk to a comfortable bed after a long bus ride. Owners and workers went above and beyond. I only stayed here one night as they were booked out the rest of the nights. Love this place and strongly recommend it. Nice backyard to relax and nice tv room to chill.

Fantastic place- would recommend anyone to stay here- cecelia is absolutely wonderful, so helpful and went out of her way to help us hire a car in high season when there was none available in the big dealerships. Clean and good beds, lovely calm social area very good wifi. Thanks so much for everything!

Great hostel! Plenty of space to meet new friends or enjoy a book by yourself. The staff has helped me with tour scheduling on multiple occasions. For solo travelers there is a room with just two beds if you're lucky. Sometimes the shower needs 15 minutes to heat up but overall enjoyed it muchos.

Comfortable stay and very convenient location. They also has restaurant which open for dinner, closed on Sunday. The food is nice for reasonable price. Overall, really enjoyed my stay at Schilling!

We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom, but it was really a dorm room with 2 beds, neither of which were very comfortable. It is not a hostel, more a hotel with a couple of dorm rooms tacked on, which weren't cheap even for El Calafate, with an avwrage kitchen. Otherwise the breakfast, staff and other facilities were excellent, a quiet convenient location from which to explore el calafate and surroundings.

Great owner/manager with good English. Good on site restaurant if you're tired after a day's hiking.

Nice breakfast with cereal, bread, juice, coffee etc. but mostly really yummy cakes. More a mixture of a hotel and a hostel.

The Shilling hostel had very friendly staff that gave my boyfriend and I good advice on things to do and helped us coordinate a safari trip and taxi for our ride back to the airport. The staff spoke English really well. We liked the unique art in the common areas. The rooms and common areas had good wifi. The hostel is close to the Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants. We highly recommend Shilling Hostel!

Excellent hostel. Great location (two blocks from main street). Warm, and has good size lockers. On-site restaurant serves a basic breakfast. Dinner is available as well - not a bad option if you've spent all day hiking. The common area is spacious and comfortable. Staff are excellent. My flight was cancelled at the last minute, leaving me with no place to stay. Schilling was fully booked that night, but Ramiro helped me find another place (even though he had no obligation to)-truly appreciated.

Nice and clean hostel on a quiet street near the central road. Staff is extremely friendly and offers great assistance in reserving excursions, transportation, ... In house restaurant offers nice food at a low price. It can take a while before the water is hot however but that's only a minor downside

Great experience! The guys at Schilling made me feel at home immediately and after a few days we were sitting and talking and drinking mate like in my own living room. The staff helped everyone with everything and tried to make every wish come true. The hostel is situated in the center with only 2 blocks walking distance to the main street and the same distance to the bus station which is very concenient. One of the nicest hostels I have visited during the last years.

The kitchen is very very small, and besides it is used by people that is lodged in the Hotel area. Almost imposible to cook two couples at the same time. Wifi doesn't reach well in the four people's dorm. Atmosphere resembles more a hostel than a Backpacker's typical atmosphere. No keys for the rooms. A key for a general comunal room but never was closed. There are lockers though. Good location.

Awesome place because clean, big comfy rooms, great location 5 min walk to main St, very very helpful staff. Decor is very unique. Restaurant area very homily. Good breakfast with eggs bacon ham for a bit extra. Very comfy living. Only downside is shower pressure sucks and can't flush toilet paper and the trash bin in bathroom is teeeny tiny.
