We stayed here for one night and I guess you get what you pay for. Not amazing, but ok. The location is a bit annoying, though. You have to change awkwardly and walk quite far from the station.
A bit far from the city centre, but a part of city one normally wouldnt't experience. A lot of good places to eat and drink nearby. A tip: Rent a bike!

Average rooms and cleaning. But for value of money, Its a good place. Staff is helpful.
I really, really like this hostel. It was really nice to arrive back two years after i last stayed there and to find that the quality was still as good as last time. Quiet, secure dorms; good lockers; great kitchen; the bar is great, but is separate enough to not disturb sleeping; location is good as in berlin the key thing is access to transport, though the area close to the hostel is good for evenings; Very, Very helpful staff. Ace!
Very friendly staff made you feel very welcome! We had breakfast and they offered us loads if free orange juice and bread! Lovely hostel!

The reception and the internet is at a café/bar, and the further down the road is the kitchen and rooms, and then a bit further down, more rooms. So the only real common area is the kitchen and the bar. it works out pretty well though. A nice hostel, easy enough to find, and close to the S-bahn.
Great value for money, nice location in east Berlin. It was also very clean. Recommendable.
Coziest bed sheets ever!! Really comfortable, very clean, Nice kitchen, close to Alex (10 min by underground) and Warschauer str (15 min walk)
Location is ok, it's not right next door to anything but it's not difficult to get to places but you will need to spend money on transport. No laundry or wifi in room but kitchen well stocked so facilities were good. Not much privacy in the bathroom for showering but it was very clean. Uou have to pay extra for linen but you are not allowed to use your own sleeping bag which was strange. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Schlafmeile Hostel was the only place in the world that gave me a hard time with my reservation. The double room I booked 3 months in advance was unavailable. They offered me for free an uncomfortable night in a shared 10-bed room and a discount value on the next night. This was the very least they could do and didn't exactly solve the problem. Hostel staff work in a café at the same time, so you often have to wait for them to cook or serve meals before they can assist you. Not professional.
Schlafmeile is a nice hostel to stay, not overpriced as the rest of berlin. In a nice area, close to the tram. The rooms are directly at the street, so you can hear cars etc. passing by. Didn't really bother me.
Good point : socket near to the bed. Bad point :don't have Internet in the bedroom, only at the cafe
We meet Nicola, he is the cleaner, he is a very simphatic man. Very dedicated to the work, and for this we found all clean. He gave us a lot of information about Berlin.
excellent hostel! perfect location, near a metro and tram station and quite near the awesome night spots in kreuzberg (suicide circus etc). remember to have a padlock for the lockers and beware people knocking at the door of the kitchen: its not always someone from the hostel, i think homeless around the place have learnt that the kitchen there is a warm place where to cook their stuff. but no worries, just remember this and you'll be perfectly safe. wifi works only in common room.
in fact....I didn't like the people who shared the dorm with me...
The hostel is great! The café is delicious, very clean, good bed and shower. Every bed has its own locker; Its a little far from the center by veery easy to reach the subway and trams!
This is my favorite hostel that I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in close to 80 or 100 hostels throughout europe. I spent over two months here and have been here 7 different trips. Anja is the best!
Great place!!! It have a very good ubication, near to touristic center and near to a lots pf bars and party places. The kitchen of the hostal is very big and complete. If you dont want to cook you have the coffe of the hostal with very good prices and amazing eggs!! And beer!! The couple thats run the place is the most chearfull and helpfull as can be. They have a beatiful and funny dog do the hostal is very friendly. All the staff is helpfull and nice too. I completely recomend this place :)
The location is far away from city center. There is no wifi in the room and little sockets for charging. You can only pay by cash.
There are a lot of males and we are the only two females in that floor....
