great value hostel - only problem is the trams which run right outside the rooms and can be fairly noisy

Awesome beds and a very relaxed cafe with good food for the price, along with a great house beer. The doors into the hostel do not lock behind you or without a key, which is an issue if you have dorm-mates that do not remember to lock the door after they come in even if you do. Also, the rooms have doors to the street which are also very difficult to lock and seem closed when they are not. Locks are not provided for lockers.

Very out of the way, very minimal services. It's pretty inconvenient to only have internet in the cafe.

I stayed in Schlafmeile for three nights with my brother. We both enjoyed our stay very much. First of all, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and cozy, bathrooms also clean and nice to use. A proper kitchen at our use was also definitely a plus. The area is nice and at least in May it was really beautiful. Slightly noisy at times, out on the street, but nothing that could not be handled. I will definitely recommend this hostel to my friends who go to Berlin.

It was a great option for that price, but it wasnt an excellent place to stay. the room location was really uncomfortable, since you gotta enter them from the street, which made them really noisy. the staff didnt really care about you, they attend a bar and at the same time the hostel.

Helpfull bar staff. You sit at the pub downstairs when your on the Internet which forces you to be social which was good. Try not to get room 0 as people walk through your room in the night to get to their room . Which was annoying

Location of this hostel is great, and I was lucky enough to be there in a nice weather. The place has rooms that open straight on the street; I would expect it to be very cold winter time. The street is very dark, but again the fact that it was nice weather a lot of people were walking by so it didn't feel insecure. Toilets were cleaned rarely, so sometime you go there and the floor be wet. Otherwise location is great walking distance from bars and restaurants as well as to the metro: S&U-ban.

There are 2 25 weichselstraBe street in Berlin. Make sure you direct go the one in Friedrichshain if you are taking a taxi, especially at night after clubbing/partying. They are about 15-20 mins drive away from each other.

I love this hostel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great prices. A very friendly morning staff, and attached to a cafe with great food. I've stayed here twice so far and if I'm Berlin again I'd absolutely stay again, it's a great bargain!

Check out at 11am and Check in at 4pm. Five hours to clean one room? I don't think so.

It\'s a great hostel for the price you pay. Everything is good. Friedrichshain is a good place to be located in Berlin. The only two small things are that the lay out of the hostel is quite weird, you cannot reach the common room from inside.. The other thing is that the shower does not give you any privacy at all. As long as you do not mind: it is a fantastic hostel! :)

probably our worst hostel experience so far. the hostel rooms open out onto the street and the doors don't lock properly. We felt very unsafe our entire stay. the staff is really busy running a cafe, so they were too preoccupied to help us with anything but the bare minimum. located very far away from the center of the city in a sketchy neighborhood. I suppose if you really want to save money it suffices as a bed and roof, but don't expect friendly staff or a place with character to meet people.

Excellent value for money, this hostel has its reception in a bar/café, so I had a pint literally while checking in! Staff are friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood seems to be fairly residential. Though looking at the map it mightn't seem very central, but it is in fact very well connected with public transport and there's a 24h tram line that passes right in front of the hostel. Also a good option for those of you gig-goers, as it's in walking distance from Kreuzberg (approx 30 mins).

Surprisingly, the reception was in a restaurant and there was no sign, so it was a bit hard to find. And some rooms are facing the road directly. But generally it was a nice hostel. Big kitchen/common room, free common pc. These 2 benefits are not common in Germany.
