Pros: We reached very late and the staff was very helpful to help us in this case. Cons: We booked a room with PRIVATE bathroom. But they kept us in a WG 200m from the main hotel. The apartment was smelly and we had to share the bathroom with the other people. The room was not cleaned at all during my entire stay (3 nights). Tram was passing just beside our window which ruined our sleep. I have traveled all around Europe for the last 7 years but this was my worst experience. Never recommended.

Good hostel, with lovely and knowledgeable staff. Decent location, near a UBahn and SBahn (S9 from Schonefeld Airport stops here) stations. If you walk past the hostel and go 3 roads down and take a left there are a number of great little bars, restaurants, and takeaways. Rather clean. Security worried me tho. I was in a room of 8 but they put two beds on the floor because there were people in the room who weren't suppose to be there but they didn't know who... Anyone could just walk in.

Overall good except that wifi was only available in their restaurant...while it was open...meaning that after the restaurant closed, you had no internet.

the room with a glass door on the street are not noise proof and make one feel unsecure (glass breaks easily) the showers with curtains are not very private, and make you feel like in a summer camp

A bit confusing to find the reception since it is located inside a café next door to the hostel. The staff was helpful. A bit weird that there is a kindergarten outside the rooms...

I arrived late, and the staff was helpful and informative. No problems; just all the dorms aren't locked from the inside, so people who are staying in a different room at the same hostel can potentially get into your room. Wasn't an issue, though, and I felt safe.

SUCH A GOOD DEAL: I couldn't believe after staying here for 4 nights that I only paid 33€ total. Great location in Friedrichshain (tons of GREAT restaurants, bars, and clubs nearby, authentic neighborhood vibe), very warm staff....awesome. Remember to check in at Lindsay's café on the corner: they own half the block, pretty much. Free, fast wifi in the café was a boon, as well as the spacious kitchen area. And again, awesome staff. This is where you want to stay in Berlin.

I enjoyed the location but the hostel itself was very unfriendly. The staff were friendly enough but I felt the main problem were the other guests. Maybe it was a bad week and the hostel can't be blamed for unfriendly guests but it was so unsocial! Everyone was sitting in the hostel bar individually on their laptops, not atmosphere, no chat. This continued during our 4 night stay. This is a shame as the hostel itself was very pleasant and in a great location.

For that price (8,5€) it s a very good hostel. Owners (Kiwi+German) are very friendly. Some rooms have a direct access on the street, but the security is ok as there are big lockers in the rooms, and Berlin is a safe city. Internet is good (only at the reception, + 2 computers free to use). The only thing to be improved : Ad many differents garbages bin in the kitchen in order to recycle. (cureently it seems that the hostel is only recycling glass)

I will never recommend this place to anyone, I did not enjoy my stay. The room was cold, the personality was cold.

The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent for travellers, the underground is near and you are fast in the city center. Comparatively to other locations it's cheap and the bar is nice.
