best hostel I've stayed in in Australia so far. Fun, strong community feel, relaxed & great staff!

We were on Scotties for Christmas and they gave us an unforgettable Christmas day, the atmosphere was so good and everyone seemed to have a nice time!

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm with ensuite. Beds were comfy, room was clean and so was the bathroom. The bathroom for the dorms was ok. Nothing wron with it. The blankets smelled a bit funny, but wouldn't figure in my decision to stay there or not. The shuttle into town / to the greyhound bus stop was very handy and ran on time. I'd stay there for a night like this time, but for a longer stay I Mission Beach I might go somewhere else. The music was very loud the afternoon I arrived. Not very relaxing

great place to stay, pity the insurance companies haven't pulled their fingers out after the damage caused by Yasi in Feb, repairs are under way, the pool was being repaired but will be finished soon,the rooms are in good order and are having new air con units soon. they put on cheese and wine every night as consolation for not being able to use the pool, thanks guys. the staff are great, scotty's bar does a backpacker menu and the foods good, also enertainment some nights in the bar.
