About Seahorse Accommodations
Seahorse Accommodations welcome visitors in a seafront villa fantastically located on the sunny West Coast of Mauritius, the Black River district of the island. The property is 15 minutes on foot North off the small town of Flic en Flac, in a peaceful residential zone. Originally a fishermen settlement, Flic en Flac is now a growing town with a magnificent white sand public beach and a still well preserved lagoon.
The exceptional climate of Flic en Flic as well as its long sandy coast has attracted great hospitality names such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the Taj and Sofitel. To be in line with this top-of-the-range tourism development, Flic en Flac now offers world class restaurants (with Chinese, Thai, Italian, French and local traditional cuisine) bars and discos, duty free garment boutiques, supermarkets, cyber cafés, a casino, car, bike and boat rental agencies, a modern post office and a tourist office.
Facilities are available for a broad range of activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, horse riding, quad riding, parasailing, water skiing, deep sea fishing, kite surfing, dolphin watching, etc.
The self-catering apartment is totally independent and occupies the ground floor of a 3 storeys villa. It has direct access and views to the beautiful Indian Ocean, only distant by 50 metres. This portion of the West Coast is a paradise for nature lovers and snorkelers. Its rocky shores and open seas are a refuge for a rich variety of flora and fauna. Wild apes, partridges and hares are often spotted on land while sea turtles, dolphins and rays are common underwater encounters.
ACCOMMODATION FEATURES
• The 70 m2 apartment comprises a bedroom with a double bed, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It is ideal for couples and honeymooners, however, pairs wishing to sleep on separated beds can also be accommodated by adding a single bed in the bedroom or in the living room. Couples with up to 3 children can also be accommodated.
• The bathroom has a shower corner and a separated W.C. Hot water, from a solar heater, is available 24/7 in the shower corner only
• Both the bedroom and the living room widely lead to the garden and the swimming pool
• Spectacular sunsets are guaranteed as the apartment faces the West
• Apartment equipped with the following domestic appliances: washing machine, refrigerator, 4 burner gas cooker with electric oven, microwave oven, water boiler, toaster and ironing board
• Entertainment equipment: TV set, DVD player and a hi-fi stereo component.
• Fitness equipment: all-in-one fitness machine with side bench, 3 dumbbells, 1 barbell, weighs up to 45 kg
• Security: the property is guarded 24/7. Police randomly patrols the residential area night and day. All openings secured with anti-theft bars.
• The property can be viewed on Google Earth, GPS devices, iPhone, etc. Coordinates: 20º18’ South, 57º21’ East of Greenwich.
• Seahorse Accommodations will soon be able to welcome small groups up to 32 adults when the renovation of 7 additional apartments in 2 adjacent properties will be completed.

• Transfers to and from the airport at a discounted fare for guests. Please, e-mail your request for this service 24 hours before your arrival
• Pick-up from the nearest bus stop
• Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, butter, eggs, marmalades, orange juice and bread can be provided for continental self-made breakfasts
• Additional mattresses can be placed in the spacious living room to accommodate up to 3 children or youngsters
• CD and DVD rental (collection of 200 films and 100 music albums)
• Two mountain bikes are available permanently in premises and can be hired for daily excursions
• Barbecue equipment and charcoal can be provided
• Sailing cruises on one of the biggest catamaran of the island (12 m / 40 ft) can be organised.
WHAT TO DO IN THE SURROUNDINGS
• Sunbathing on a tiny, easily accessible coral beach just 100 metres from the apartment (a must see !)
• Excursion to the Green Cascade, a waterfall into the sea, home to a colony of wild apes (45 minutes on foot North off the property)
• Snorkelling (for experienced snorkelers and good swimmers only)
• Fishing
• The residential area is surrounded by sugar cane plantations which tracks are good terrain for footing, trekking, walking and mountain biking.
• Visiting the Casela Nature Park (1000 bird species, ostriches, lions, etc.)
