This is about a half hour walk down the road from the Middle Gorge area. There are many places to climb down to the hiking trail that snakes along closer to the water. You can also access the High Trail just behind Sean's (local guide highly recommended!). We came mid-Sept, it wasn't busy at all. Lily was the one person running everything and was great, even cooked everything! 80RMB for a private room, shared bathroom is a killer deal. But the rooms aren't soundproof AT ALL, kind of old & creaky

Emailing was not easy due to language; HOWEVER, we LOVED our stay here, would come again in a heartbeat, and have already suggest to friends. The staff are friendly and helpful; (veggie) food is yummy (do not miss dumplings & tibetan bread). We travel off-piste a lot; this is a top10 Hostel for us. More info on bus times from Qiaotou or shuttle 3x a day (combo w/ other GH) would be useful. Add hooks in rooms. Do not take the high trail past Tina's to Sean's; it is NOT safe above Bamboo Forest.
