I wanted an empty beach and good food. That's exactly what I got, and it was perfect.

Great value for money, superb location if you're looking for a nice beach and a quiet get-away. Restaurant food was good, the lady running reception/restaurant was very sweet. Unfortunately, we tried to engage the owner in a conversation several times and he couldn't be bothered (he was obviously quite busy running the place), so that kinda sucked. Bathrooms were spotless and well-kept, showers were hot.... I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

It was exactly what we were chasing. Close enough to be able to walk to the village when we wanted to but far enough away that we could find plenty of space to enjoy the quiet side of things. Great food, great staff, all the facilities we needed. I know it wouldn't suit everyone, but we loved it!! Would definitely go back to enjoy the simple things.

We had a wonderful time at seaside cottages and will without doubt be returning. The staff were great and Malcom was very helpful concidering our late arrival and departure he still allowed us to keep our belongings in our room and use the facilities without charge.

Cleanliness is a big issue here... take your own mosquito repellant as their are lots inside the mosquito net itself

Owner Comment (Hide)
Well that's a bit rich coming from someone who lives in India. Our place is not dirty as pointed out by some of our nicer customers in previous reviews. If you think mosquitoes are a major problem, common sense will prevail and you will not leave the light on in the hut with the door open at night. We also sell repellent here which works very well. If you make the effort to read about Seaside Cottages at our website or Hostelworld before booking, there should be no complaints of this nature.

Neat little hideaway 400-meter walk from main road and right on the beach. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The Thai staff speaks little English but there is a Brit who can answer any detailed questions. Spotless bathrooms. Food is good enough but flies are EVERYWHERE in dining area during the day, which make breakfast

We stayed at Seaside Cottages for 3 nights in one of the round cottages and thouroughly enjoyed our time there! The cottage was neat and clean. Beach was almost empty (!) and also clean. Restaurant was a bit pricy, but very delicious. A mimi mart, fruit stand and other restaurants are in walking distance (~10 min). We especially enjoyed that it was off the beaten track. Malcom was very welcoming and helped us getting around on the island.
