I would definitely recommend the Second HOME Hostel it feels more like a home than a Hostel. I spent my first day there when I moved to Istanbul then i stayed longer than even i booked 1 night and it was the best thing I could do. I met so many great people there and I think you get good value for your money. The rooms are clean and bright, you got all the facilities you need and there is always something going on!

Sweet place. Great vibe. Great setting. Truly a very wholesome place to enjoy one's time in Istanbul. I certainly recommend.

Really helpful and friendly staff, very clean for a hostel which was great. The location was excellent, with all the major sites within walking distance. The showers were roomy and powerful and clean. Rooftop terrace where is served NARGILE has a lovely view.. Overall really good hostel to stay at.

We had an awesome stay at thıs hostel. It's in a great location, inexpensive, very clean, the staff are the best, and the hostel cat Boncuk is a riot. We stayed here for 8 nights and enjoyed time spent in the common room talking with the staff and other guests and enjoying the free coffee and tea (& breakfast). The staff here are outstanding, even taking us out to some of their favourite nightlife spots and helping us out whenever they could. We'll miss Second Home and the friends we made here.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hostel. It is clean, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is less than a 5 minute walk to all the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet and a lovely 20-30 minute walk to Taksim Square. The only thing I think the Hostel could improve on is there breakfast. It is very basic for what you are paying. If they offered more of a variety - eg. menemen/omlette/french toast it would be a hit!

I stayed here over 6nıghts. I randomely found thıs hostel but I satısfıed of ıt. My journey was for 17days ın Turkey. I stayed here fırst 2nıghts and come back from a trıp from other cıtıes. It was really cold ın Istanbul but I could be warm. My room was very warm and staffs are also frıendly. Every mornıng they served turkısh breakfast. What a great hostel! Very helpful and kind staff, perfect location for sightseeing in the old city district,They can arrange trips to other parts of the country. The shuttle is only 5 euros to the airport. I even left my luggage there while taking a 2 night trip to Cappadocia. It's minutes from the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sophia.

The hostel was well situated in the center of the old town with connection to the tram. Santa Sophia and the Blue moswue were in immediate vicinity as well as the ferries to the Asian side. Unfortunately the heating wasn't working sufficient but we used the Air-condition with heating function. The bathroom was clean, the was no noise from other rooms or the nieghbourhood. We can definitely recommend this hostel to others!

Lovely place. The people were very friendly, nice to chat with and helpful with any questions we had. There was also a nice little kitten in the place, that we loved playing with whenever we were downstairs hanging out or eating. Good heating in winter, and within walking distance of all the major attractions.

if you visit to İstanbul,you should definetly stay in Second home hostel.You will start to day with delicious turkish breakfast in Second home hostel.Toilet and rooms are clean.The Hostel has walking distance to old town and new town.The staff always are in second home to help you. They can make plan for your trip about istanbul and Turkey.You should ask them before you star to your trip for istanbul and Turkey.. İF YOU FEEL AT HOME İN İSTANBUL YOU SHOULD STAY İN SECONDHOME HOSTEL.

The location was perfect - close to train/bus/metro station, markets, places to go out and eat. I never felt unsafe walking around.Helpful and nice staff, always ready to help or advice you.I highly recommend !

This place stinks because of the constant smell of sewage backflow that comes from the toilets and bathroom. The staff are friendly but it is not really an ideal place for couples the room we stayed in was tiny about 2x3metres wide and noisy. This place is probably good if you are on a tight budget, are very adaptable and don't have high standards. It would be a good place to stay if you were travelling alone because the area downstairs is quite social. The shared unisex showers have no privacy

Good hostel, staff are very friendly and helpful. BWalking distance to all the main tourist sites in the Old City of Istanbul. Would recommend it. The toilet on our floor probably needed to be cleaned a little more often though. r

I was served the same breakfast every morning for 10 days. There was a certain lack of imagination in a city full of good food. Breakfast was not served until 8:30am when lines are all forming in major tourist attractions around town. A definite inconvenience and inconsideration. While the staff is generally helpful, they were not really interested in their guests except as a source of income. There is no systemic attempt to improve their service by collecting feedback from their guests.

I really recomend thıs place! :-) The locatıon ıs very very good, staff was amazıngly helpful!! It ıs basıc but very clean and has a good turkısh breakfast, well worth ıt.

Brilliant location, clean and confortable rooms, courteous staff, couldn't have expected better for a long weekend.
