Excelent people,nice place,confortable.Big private room, big bath room,very good breakfast! Neighborhood seems to be secure,I felt very safe to go for a walk at night.One block to the main street and the subway.Thank you very much! Excelentes personas, un lugar agradable, confortable. Gran sala privada, gran baño, muy buen desayuno! Barrio parece ser seguro, me sentí muy seguro para ir a dar un paseo por la noche. A una cuadra de la calle principal y el metro. Muchas gracias!

The owners seriously make this place. The atmosphere is so chilled, the beds are super comfy, its right by the metro. If you like music and fun this is your place.

Great hostel!

This hostel is an okay one in all manner. Good location, nice atmosphere, but rooms, bathroom a bit old and dirty. Breakfast was okay, but we experienced much better elsewhere.

what a great place!! Rodrigo and Nicole were just amazing, they are a wonderful couple always willing to help you. the rooms are neat, breaksfas was awesome, and specially they are very kind, they make awesome barbecue, also they play sometimes live music, just a great vibe, i highly recomend this Hostal! 5 stars from Selknam!

My stayed was much better than I expected, the atmosphere was so good, I slept very well and the location is excellent, theres a lot of stores in the neighborhood and you can go walking to the cultural centre of the city, I loved Santiago too!!... I highly recommend the hostel.

I spend a great time in the hostel, even i stay just one day, Rodrigo and Nico are very nice people, they made a great BBQ and that i sharing with their musician friends. The room was very comfortable, very clean, nice breakfast. The hostel is very near to the metro station so it allow me to move easily to the nearest typical places.

It's a great hostel, barbecues are spectacular, plus the attention of the staff is excellent and the location of the hostel is perfect for visiting the city of Santiago de Chile.

Really enjoyed our stay here, great staff, spacious rooms, good breakfast and close to a metro station. There was only 2 bathrooms so there could be a wait for the toilet/shower in the morning but other than that really enjoyed staying here and chillng out!

It is hard to find a hostel that feels like home. Rodrigo and Nico have done a great job of making Selknam feel like home, or a good friend's house, through their kindness, generosity, and transparency. They were helpful and very honest and I will definitely be coming back next time I stay in Santiago. Regarding the cleanliness, they maintain everything quite well considering the construction given, and are planning to reconstruct the bathrooms in the near future. Go there and help them fund it!

Selknam Hostel is a nice place to stay in Santiago. This is a small place with character, friendly staff and all the facilities you need. Location is great, close to the metro line, the Airport shuttle terminal and mains attractions in the downtown. Barhrooms seems dirty but are not at all, they only need to be renovated. All the hostel is very clean. I would recommend this place in Santiago, dormitories are large and not crowded with lots of beds and people.
