My favorite place that I stayed in Japan. The two staff members are so accomodating and ready to share their knowledge and love for Shikoku island. They gave a great recommendation for a day hike to temple 54 and 55 of the 88 temple pilgrimage. Beautiful traditional japanese dorm room and showering facilities. The hostel itself is located very near to dogo onsen. I forgot to mention the beautiful communal kitchen and the rooftop swing/hammock/picnick table area to watch the sunset!
Amazingly helpful staff. Advices and help provided beyond any expectation.
Definitely the best hostel I stayed in this trip. The hostel itself was really nice - the futons were super comfortable, the roof seating area was really nice and the kitchen/living area was clean and comfortable. But the staff are what really makes this hostel great - so friendly and helpful, they really made sure I got the most out of my time in Matsuyama!
Very friendly owners and great location.
It doesn't get much better than this. Clean, comfortable, nice kitchen, located near fantastic onsen (two), many nice restaurants, fresh coffee and tea, and the husband / wife team are perfect hosts. More like staying with your family or best friend. Easy to meet fellow travelers. Easy to get to from train station. Short tram ride. Cool trams. Definitely, go here!
very helpful and friendly staff location is fantastic for the onsen, easy to get to from the station
This place was great in every way. The common areas were especially nice, with lots of room for hanging out and socializing. The tatami room was beautiful, and the owners were extremely helpful. We would have loved to stay longer. Thanks so much!
i think Sen is the best Hostel in the world. Cleanness,Location is good, but the staff is the best.

Awesome place to stay! I highly recommend Sen Guesthouse and would definitely stay here again. The owners are super nice and welcoming. Location: 5 minute walk to Dogo onsen and station. Atmosphere: great lounge area on the first floor for hanging out and meeting new people. Comfy beds, lockers available, clean bathrooms and showers. Only downside is wifi signal is weak in the rooms but it works perfectly downstairs. We need more hostels like Sen Guesthouse!
Loved it! Beautiful place, lovely owners, and particularly loved the lounge area with the awesome furniture and nice chilled music in the mornings!
This is a backpackers' youth hostel. Senior citizens might feel out of place, but management will nevertheless make them feel welcome and will assist them any way they can. One travels between the kitchen/common shower area and the rooms by a circular outdoor stairway (which is a nice way to greet the morning). There is a rooftop garden that offers a nice panaoramic view. Buslines are within easy walking distance or management will be glad to call a taxi for you. There is plenty of hot water!

Loved this hostel. Very well equipped and located very close to Dogo onsen. The staff were friendly and keen to share local knowledge on temple sites to visit.
Great guest house and interesting places in town the owners can tell you about!
Only stayed the one night but loved it! Would definetly stay there again!
