Ok for the money and for a stay in a hostel. In the centrum of Oslo is nice for shops and get something to eat.

Staff were fantastic! Right near central station which was really helpful. Rooms were massive.

Comfortable bedroom and bed, facilities were pretty clean. The guy in the reception was very very helpful and friendly.

It's the cheapest hostel in Oslo, so I was prepared to get what I paid for. It's located in the red light district, so not great if you're wanting to walk around at night, but I still felt safe in the hostel. I was only stopping through for the night and it was perfect for that. You get your own bed instead of sharing a bunk which was a nice change and spacious rooms! Showers were wonderful and reception was very friendly.

The reception was supposed to open at 10 am, but the staff came in 20 minutes late. It's a small thing but shows appreciation towards the guests when things are done on time. The rooms were very basic and worn out, as were the bathrooms too. Walls were really thin so you could hear everything that the people in the next room were talking about. The hostel was good for a quick one night stay (a good location in the centre), but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.

lots of strangers downstaris and kitchen

The kitchen was really dirty, couldn't find clean plates or basically anything. I had to clean what I needed to use.

I stayed in Oslo on Christmas Eve so nothing was open but thankfully the staff helped me find a grocery store so made up some food and hung out with some of the local travelers.

heating is poor, internet doesn´t work at room 104..

Excellent location in the city center near central station, opera house and the palace in walking distance. Staff was helpful and allowed us to hang out in the common area even after we had checked out. Room was spacious and warm with a fridge as well. Recommend highly to budget travellers.

Staff is really friendly and willing to help, working from 10am till 12am, that was a plus. Building is quite old so the ventilation system sucks (if there is any), therefore the room had this stuffy atmosphere and stench was hovering a bit, that was a minus. Nevertheless, very well located for an accessible price, they offer you towels, linens and lockers for free... I was not expecting that in Norway.

Awesome location, about a 10 min. walk from the central train station. The guy at reception was very helpful. Had a good nights sleep. Can't fault the place.

The Hostel is saturated with (for lack of a better word) “homeless” people who destroy the atmosphere and make it difficult for the guests to enjoy themselves. The price is a bit steep, but that was to be expected of the world’s most expensive capital The best thing I can possibly say about this Hostel is that the duty manager ("Matias I believe his name was) was one of the best managers I have ever had the delight of coming into contact with. Really friendly and helpful.

Definitely not a youth hostel, don't go here for the atmosphere. I was only passing through so the hostel was good for that, but would not recommend a long stay. Lots of strange people hanging around at all hours. Man at reception was really nice and let me check in really late. Far too few bathrooms and toilets for the size of the hostel, only one per floor that i could see. Was expensive for what you get, but Oslo in general is expensive.

- living room can and must be more cleanned and more presentable - there is only 5 showers for more than 150 beds !!

sound proofing is bad....

The location is great, and the facilities are very good as well. However, this hostel has the worst hostel atmosphere I've ever seen. Full of creepy (but probably harmless) people, doesn't look like a hostel at all. Wouldn't stay there again.

read some other comments before i booked so i knew what i would potentially be dealing with-so i booked a private room as a result....its not a backpackers hostel..it is a half way house or hostel for homeless people by the looks of it..but being in scandinavia that is not so bad hahaha..if it was in ireland or the uk it would be full of crack heads..i booked a private room as i was only going to be in norway 24hrs...the room was spotless and comfortable and reasonably priced at around 60euro..

The staff kindly upgraded our room, had a pleasant stay. Location was amazing, really close to the main train station. Showers were fantastic!

Not enough bathrooms or shower facilities. Although the staff are super nice the owners are tight fisted slum lords. Far too many crazies in the hostel & not enough lockers to keep your stuff safe that even the bedbugs refuse to go there!
